Besides points, where else would you fish around a lake. Also, if I dont know what kind of cover I am fishing around, then how do I choose a lure when fishing somewhere deep.
Hey everyone, I have been in a bit of a predicament last year during the summer. I could not catch any bass at Lake Del Valle during the summer months. This lake is extremely deep. Main lake is anywhere from 50-150 feet deep. I do not have any electronics to tell me where the bass might be schooling or hanging around any off shore cover. I do fish from a boat. If you were in this situation, what would you look for to fish and what would you use?
I like to skip any kind of smaller compact creature baits. When your skipping a jig with a trailer, f you have a big floppy trailer, it wont skip as well because those big appendages hit the water and slow down the jig a lot faster rather than a smaller compact trailer.
Hey everyone, I had a few questions about bed fishing. So the questions apply to a texas rigged bait for beds. What is your favorite bed bait, what size weight do you use, do you peg your weight, do you use a straight shank flipping hook, and do you put on a leader if you are using braid?
Hey everyone, I have a 14 foot aluminium boat and was wondering if anybody had ever built a deck that could put in and taken out easily. Does anybody have any ideas on how to make one of these decks? The measurements are around 3 1/2- 4 foot long, and about 5 feet wide.
Hey everyone, on Saturday I will be going out onto Lake Del Valle and fishing fro some prespawn fish. The lake has been closed for a while due to flooding, and is finally opening the 15th of April. Does anybody have any tips in where they think the fish will be and any baits I could use. This lake s very deep with points, transition banks, and the lakes water depth is anywhere from 1-100+ feet. There are also rocks and weeds.

Hey everyone, I was looking to get a swimbait and punching rod for around 50$. For the swimabits, I will be throwing 3-8 ounces, and for punching 1/2-2 1/4 ounce.
Hey everyone, today I went fishing with a spinner bait at my local lake. I was throwing it for bass, but then 2 1/2 pound trout wacked it. I set the hook and then 3 seconds later the wire broke, so I was only left with my blades. I have only caught 5 bass on it, and was wondering if this usually happens with spinner baits and any recommendations for some spinner baits. I was using a tandem blade fishhog spinner bait.
Hey everyone, I wanted to know some good spots for around the delta. I live in the east bay and looking to fish the delta my first time from shore. Are there any good spots around the southern part of the delta closer to Antioch.
Hey everyone, Lake Chabot, Del Valle, Shadow Cliffs, and Los Voquares are lakes near me. I was wondering if anybody else has fished these lakes for bass, and I am looking for tips on these lakes.

Check out the FG knot. In the beginning it is a hard knot to master, but it is worth it. It is a slim and really strong knot. The only time I have to re tie my leader know is when the leader gets to short. Check out Flukemasters channel on youtube ; he has tutorial on how to do it.
