  1. Get a Spro, they are the best
  2. Can anyone tell me good spots to fish Lake Hopatcong from shore for bass.
  3. In the North Jersey ares can anyone tell me if you know of any NJ shore tournaments for 2017?
  4. White Rage Craw all day.
  5. I fish in a private lake in Southern Jersey. It is weird because it has grass up to the surface, very light grass and a sand bottom. It is also usually windy and a small lake. What lures should I throw?
  6. Spinnerbaits, Jerkabaits, and Senkos. They are all around good baits. If water is not crystal clear, spinnerbait all the way.
  7. Going to Florida for Christmas Week, what lures are good for Redfish?
  8. Can anyone help me out how to catch Stripers off the New Jersey beaches?
  9. I used my Abu Garcia Silver Max. Drg was set all the way, line was still coming out only becuase the Striper was 25lbs.
  10. Where are you in SNJ, I'm down in LBI every weekend either on a boat for bass or out at sea for fluke and sea bass.
  11. My Lucky Craft 110 Flash Pointer American Shad Jerkbait.
  12. Just remain it the same unless the bass are really finik. Throw a ned rig on another rod and if the are hitting the ned rig and not the jig, downsize the trailer. Zoom chunks are good as well as berkley powerbait, chigger craw.
  13. You are not doing anything wrong, but don't skim it across the surface. Wlak the dog, although it is hard on weed edges try to walk it. The gear is perfect and Spro frogs, hands down are the best at walking and just good frogs. Keep fishing the frog and overcast days are better. Don't get discouraged becuase it is hard to hook the fish when you finally get the bite.
  14. @rangerjockey I'm just on land fishing for them on beds to catch the fish, take a picture if it is big and put it back on the bed to spawn.
  15. @Mike L going to Sarasota area and going to be fishing in small ponds. @N Florida Mike What kind of worms, curly tails or straight tails
  16. @soflabasser I want some big bass. First time I'm fishing in Florida. Going to my cousins house for vacation and we do this once every 5 years so I want to make it count. I just want to throw for big bass all day. I'm going all in and I am fishing from land. What lures is a go big or go home. The price range for the lure that would be ideal is under $10
  17. Can't wait until bed fishing starts back up in New Jersey. Just wondering if anyone had any really good bed baits or tips/tricks.
  18. In rivers I like to use moving baits because it is easier in the currents. Fishing a drop is good though if there is an eddie or your river doesn't have current. Spinnerbaits and jerkbaits are great baits for smallmouth and poppers would work to. I agree all my fish that I caught on a buzzbait are over 2lbs, not to mention I caught my PB on a buzzbait.
  19. @soflabasser What do you throw down in Florida I'm going to the Sarasota area.
  20. Thanks for the help @davecon
  21. Use jigs all year long and you need trailers to give it the better presentation. They may be suddle hits so watch you line in the water.
  22. Going to Florida in a couple of weeks, can I have some help as to what baits to throw.
  23. @soflabasser do you know when the Bass spawn in Florida.
  24. I'm asking about MidWest Florida in Sarasota.
  25. When I know crankbaits won't work at the place I'm going, I will tie a jerkabit on my crankbait rod. I also have one rod for my chatterbait, spinnerbait, and jig rod. On a budget so I have to pick which lure I think is going to work. Jerkabait rods are good with flexible tip and a strong back bone. 7'-7'6". My chatterbait rod would be 6'6" MH for shore anglers and 7'MH for boat anglers. A spinnbait rod would work perfect for a chatterbait. The rod just has to be sensitive taper so you can feel the vibration.
