  1. Hey Fry, thanks for the tips. I'll be putting in on the north west side of the lake (close to Buffalo Creek). With 3 days to fish, I plan on covering a lot of water.
  2. I'm planning a trip to Lake Murray next week and was hoping somebody on the boards could give me some "local" advice. I'll be spending two full days on the lake and would like any "recent" activity reports or suggestions anyone may have. - what area of lake to fish this time of year. Murray is a pretty big pond. - what type of areas to try...creek channels, points, docks...any "success" stories. - any lures working better than others. Any advice is greatly appreciated.
  3. I have to admit, a spook is my first "go-to" top water bait... but being an "old timer" in these forums, the torpedo is still one of my favorite top water baits. You really have to love the "small lure buzzbait" action it provides. It may be just for numbers , but it's the perfect cross between a buzz bait and a walker. And who doesn't fish for numbers.
  4. If you're not going to cast it on your next trip out, don't buy it. If you're trying to cast everything thing in your box every trip out, limit your box to 6-7 lures. Buy plastic worms...buy any color...as long as it's purple ?
  5. Been a "life member" of BASS for many years...so long ago they send me their "Bass Times" publication as well as their Bassmaster magazine. ESPN bought BASS back in 2001, and for me, it hasn't been the same...not like it was when Ray Scott was in charge. I still enjoy the articles and tips, but it seems more "commercialized" than back in the old days...more ads than info.
