In about a month I plan on taking a camping trip to Arkansas. I was wondering if anyone had any good recommendations for places to camp and fish. I will for sure have waders and my fly rod, as well as my usual tackle, hopefully to be able to target some trout, but I also wouldn't mind a good smallmouth fishery. I will most likely not have a boat with me, so water that can be accessed via wading or from shore would be perfect.

Chequamegon Bay has some really big smallies as well as nice pike. In the area, you could also go hunt some other species as well as sight see. It was one of the most beautiful places I have ever visited and was well worth the drive. You have potential to stop at smaller water along the way there and back.

I noticed that the Daiwa reel oil won't be in stock for quite some time. Is there another oil I could use? I would prefer it be something I could find at cabelas or bps, due to them both being within 20 minutes of my location.

Hey all! At the start of 2017, I purchased a Daiwa Tatula SV TWS 6:3:1. Initially, I was able to bomb even the smallest lures out to the center of the ponds I fished. This was equivalent to about 40 yards from my perception. However, near the end of the fall I noticed that my casts were no longer as smooth. Instead of the spool spinning for almost the entire cast, it spins only for a short period of time. It'll slow down early and then my lure will just fall down, only like 15-20 yards out. Solutions?

So im gonna order two ltb rods from st croix on monday. One will be a 7' 1" MH Fast for bottom contact baits. I cannot decide on an action and length to use for my new spinning rod. It needs to cover finesse techniques and walleye fishing (mainly finesse). Opinions? Legend Tournament Walleye or Bass?

This topic doesn't actually have to do with the song, Under Pressure. My friend discovered a pond early this summer that was full of large bass. He has pulled out multiple bass over 5 pounds, which is huge because most lakes in our area have only seen 1 or 2 fish over 5 pounds. The best part is that its within walking distance of his house. Almost all of the big fish in the pond stack up near the d**n in all of the weeds and he fishes the same weeds everyday. These weeds are only thin enough to be fished with senko's and lightweight tubes. It also seems like these are the only lures the fish will bite. But the past few weeks, the fish haven't been biting at all. I've only been able to go fish the lake a couple times this summer but I also noticed a decrease in bites. Is it possible that he put too much pressure on the pond, as he almost always brought 1 or 2 people with him each day. Are there any other lures that should be tried to change the presentation the bass are seeing?

I was actually looking more into those today. Did you know that of the 143 known cases of people with a Naegleria fowleri in them, only 4 have survived? I would take extreme caution to make sure no water enters your nose or mouth when fishing on that body of water. My personal weaknesses are quite broad, fishing with lipped baits and spinnerbaits are probably my greatest.
