Please research.....fish have a central nervous system and feel pain the same as humans. The best way to handle is to kill by pitching or stunning as quick as possible. Chemicals, ice all of these other suggestions are in Humane and do not work. Catch and release is also inhumane as the fish feels every injury and many later die from their wounds. This isn't to say not to fish to eat...just that there is a better way to do it humanly
