  1. I think you want like 1.5-2 feet if ice
  2. I replace all of my treble hooks with KVD triple grip short shank in either size 2 or 4 depending what's on them.I also change out my split rings with #3 Owner hyper rings.I do this on all my hard baits.Better safe than sorry.
  3. I'm personally going with a Lews Custom 6'7" MM.Everyone that asked me what I wanted for Christmas I said "Gift cards" I hope Santa comes through.Throwing a BPS PQ on it.Going to try out Sunline Defier this season.
  4. I'm in the same boat as you.I'm glad you made this post.I decided to put together tip ups instead of getting a rod.If your with a few buddies ice fishing is a blast. Tip up,ice line and Gamy octopus hooks.Fish with live shiners.Don't forget your bait bucket, sled, auger, hole scoop.
  5. I did pick up that shallow shadow rap last week in the carbon color.
  6. The mepps looks out of place in a sea of GYCB,Rapala and SK lol
  7. Interesting.Maybe ill pony up for it one of these days.I have to buy a filing cabinet to organize my soft plastics too.
  8. I haven't.I've only used a few small paddletails as trailers, and the zoom swimming fluke on the weighted hook.
  9. Drill a hole and catch them through the ice!
  10. The Whopper plopper is the only thing I have from river2sea.That thing is temperamental.Wants to roll and takes 5-10 feet of retrieval before it gets to plopping. I only have it because it came in my LTB. I'd buy 2 Pad Crashers before I got another Plopper
  11. You would think for 13 bucks it would work correctly.
  12. I almost ordered an Owner flashy swimmer today. Then I remembered I have a fish head spin I don't use much already.@webertime Is the clicking crayfish that bad?
  13. I was looking at them. They are really thin. 2.99 for everything in that line-up
  14. Speed shad and grass pigs.I have a bad addiction to the Havoc line Speed shad and grass pigs.I have a bad addictio to the Havoc line
  15. Haha that's what I have.ML Berkley Lightning.I leave it home most of the time.
  16. I was going to get the SI Fats but I didn't feel like driving 40 minutes to Cabelas when I live 10 minutes from BPS and had Reward Points to blow.
  17. I picked up some 4.8s for weighted swimbait hooks and 3.5s for trailers
  18. I throw mine on a 7'1" MHF St Croix Mojo Bass casting rod and its branded as a jig and trailer rod.My guess is you should keep on doing what your doing.
  19. I guess throwing them on spinning gear didn't even cross my mind.I planned on using my spinning rod strictly for worms so I would take it out more. Are you using a MHF in the 7' range? I was going to throw them on my 7'1" MHF jig and pig rod.7.1:1 baitcaster
  20. I read the "Magic Lure" post earlier. The fat ika is in my cart as well. Now I can't find that post
  21. TW or do you get better deals elsewhere?
  22. I really plan to fish the crap out of small plastic swimbaits (3-5")next season. My question is,do you guys prefer to throw your SI Fats and the like on say a 7' MHF or something shorter like a 6'6" M Mod on a weighed swim hook?
  23. Try the Bruiser Baits Evil Twin tail on the back of a KVD Rattlin swim jig. That setup gets smashed consistently for me.
  24. Not a huge haul but I just picked up 2 packs of BPS 4.8 Speed shads,a pack of 3.5 Havoc Grass pigs and a pack of 5/0 Owner weighted twistlocks for a whopping 1.80$ after using my reward points!
