  1. 2nd on the 6'8" MF, but i'm going to say the St.Croix Mojo Bass wacky rod. I throw poppers, spooks, jerkbaits. Plus wacky and the rest of my worming needs. Very versatile rod. I'm not throwing a jig on anything but a baitcaster and 7-7'2" MHF rod. #3 I would be using a 7' MM and baitcaster out of preference. However my gf catches plenty of bass throwing a 1.5 on a 6' UL BPS rod. Also 2nd the 1500 Daiwa BG! Solid reel for the money.
  2. St. Croix and Daiwa for me
  3. @everythingthatswims Go get em man!! We will be keeping an eye on the standings.
  4. I use my 7'1" MH Mojo Bass. No issues keeping them pinned.
  5. i can only access the Bassmaster fantasy page on my phone for some reason. Will not load on the laptop for some reason.
  6. im in
  7. That's like saying all my jigs are Lunkah Huntah because i'm from Massachusetts. There are a ton of rubber. I see finesse jigs and only one head that can be seen. It's almost impossible to tell.
  8. 4/0 or 5/0 straight shank. Owner Jungle is my go to hook.
  9. KVD 1.5 in bluegill, perch or chili craw
  10. I consider getting out on the pond is "good" enough. Good angler depends on the day. I was a "good" angler in 2016. 2017 I felt like a noob again. If the pattern continues, I should be "good" angler this year. If the girl thinks you're good man...you're good.
  11. You do if you fish in a swim suit! Very strong swimmer too. The "Michael Phelps" of the kiddie pool.
  12. I'm in!! I won fantasy football this year. Watch out ladies!
  13. I've been trying to set up up for a couple days. The fantasy link kept coming up with an error.
  14. I tried the Assassin a couple seasons ago. It's a super tough Flouro. Does not break easily. If might go back to it on my swim jig rod.
  15. I can't speak for the 400's but I can tell you the 580's are well worth the money! I love my amber lens Fantails
  16. Hopefully this year I can take home the Circuit City gift card!!
  17. Ill be keeping an eye out to set it back up!!
  18. Switch the cadence up. The longer/shorter pauses or quicker pops could be the difference in getting a strike or not.
  19. Talking about going rid of it here in Mass. Switching to Atlantic time full time. The rest of the Northeast would have to follow suit though.
  20. Same it is
  21. Probably should have checked that. That's what it was.
  22. I like the buy in idea. We could purchase 3 different amounts of TW gift cards and pay top 3 or just pay cash. Not sure if we could still use the BR name if we are putting money down. Tjen again "BR Crew" doesn't actually say bass resource.
  23. So just landed a 3 pounder on the whopper plopper. The fish put up a great fight but now the reel is grinding. Oddly the gringing doesn't start until my bait is about 10 inches from the top guide. No difference in casting distance or noise on retrieval. The worm gear looks like it could use a couple drops of oil,but if it that was the case, wouldn't I hear it all the way through the retrieve?? Any thoughts would be helpful. I also pulled the spool out and didn't notice any matter like dirt.
  24. Thanks for playing man. I didn't think we would have the turnout we did. Next year hopefully we have more. @Bluebasser86 can we get this thread pinned?? Please and thank you if you do.
  25. Congrats ALK! To bad it's over. Looking forward to next season. I also hate to see this thread die. Over 1,000 replies and 25,000 views since January! Hope there's another circuit city gift card for thread of the year!
