  1. Another bad TW daily sale
  2. You just have to find the balance between the braking systems. I have two of the internal brakes on and two off. Then I adjust the spool tension to where the lure barely falls. Then I make a cast and keep doing that until it feels like I'm going to backlash when I make a cast. From there it's just fine tuned spool tension and external brake adjustments until you get it just how you like it.
  3. I have fished all of the above and they are all excellent reels. There is an obvious step up in quality from the CT to the SV. The reel feels more refined and solid. With that being said I prefer the Curado K over them all. They are a bit harder to calibrate but once you do they are amazing. Very smooth and the casting distance is excellent, as with all of the others.
  4. Figured it might help fill up that wall a little bit at least.
  5. Hope you like it!
  6. I'm very interested in the new rods. Have any more details come out recently?
  7. That's what I did! LOL. I made a nice order and shipped it as a gift. Gets there Monday!
  8. I was looking at the abrazx. Just search the name.
  9. Still not beating amazon. I thought they would but they aren't.
  10. For whatever reason I'm brand loyal in almost every area of my life. I like consistency. I have about 3/4 Dobyns and 1/4 G. Loomis rods. I have a few random rods thrown in (Daiwa, Shimano, etc).
  11. I'll play: Rods: G. Loomis/Dobyns Reels: Shimano Lines: Braid - Power Pro, Fluoro - Seaguar, Mono - Seaguar, Hybrid - YoZuri Hook: Owner/Gammy Soft Plastics: Zoom, Rage, Yamamoto Hard baits: SK, 6th Sense
  12. SK 3xd, 5xd Rapala DT series I keep shad imitation, chartreuse (stained water), craw, and bluegill colors
  13. I would check the JDM websites to see what they are going for right now...sorry didn't read above post!
  14. Anyone know if the TW 25 days of Christmas starts tomorrow?
  15. I'm a big fan of the 3xd. The hooks are garbage so I replace those after the first outing. I usually throw them on rocks in about 10' to dig bottom.
  16. I've recently moved primarily to 15# Abrazx but I'll tell you if you don't want to worry about your line use Yozuri Hybrid in 12#. That stuff is a little thicker than most comparable sizes but it's rock solid. It's plenty sensitive and very manageable.
  17. I throw my 110's now on a Dobyn's Champ XP 734C with a Chronarch MGL XG. I really like the setup. Not sure I would like it for walking baits though. I don't have any experience with the Expride's but I do with the Zodias. I really like the Zodias so I imagine the Expride to be that much better.
  18. Amazon and Ebay usually have pretty decent deals on the big spools
  19. 100% accurate
  20. Big Bites makes one that is ribbed. Kriet Kreature maybe?
  21. I threw 50# Seaguar Flippin' braid with a 17# invisx leader for a while. Connected the lines with a uni to uni. Broke off a few times before I figured out how to tie it right. When I'd get hung the leader knot never broke. Currently trying out straight 20# fluoro.
  22. 1000 yd 15# Seaguar Abrazx for $70
  23. I received the NRX last night. All I can say is WOW. It is so light. I've paired with a Shimano Aldebaran and it balances out very well. I can't wait to fish it but the initial impression is amazing. I'm already wanting to get another! I probably won't get to fish it until the middle of next week.
  24. I’ve got some 30# and 40#I️ got for free from TW. I’ve been using it for top water and even straight to jigs for a bit. I️ haven’t had any issues.
