  1. You can find that particular Lews reel for much cheaper on Amazon and ebay.
  2. Dobyn’s customer service is excellent. I’ve had a couple of interactions and they were very helpful.
  3. Will this work? https://www.amazon.com/Dual-Pro-Bank-Professional-Charger/dp/B0000XQ76S/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1516303142&sr=8-1&keywords=dual+pro+3+bank+charger I'm upgrading my trolling motor (12V to 24V) so the company that is installing recommended a 3 bank charger for my batteries. I'm pretty sure this is one that was recommended but it's about $150 cheaper. Is this what I need?
  4. I bought 2 1000yd spools on ebay for some absurdly low price. It is really nice line. I had it on my deep cranking set ups.
  5. I have the same rod and use it for the same purpose with a Chronarch MGL.
  6. End of November (Black Friday) through the 1st of the year.
  7. That's a helluva Daiwa to start off with. I've gone all Shimano but the Steez is a flagship reel that I don't think you can go wrong with.
  8. I bought the NRX 854 for as a dedicated jig rod (mostly 3/8 plus trailer) but I really like them longer so I recently purchased a GLX 894. I haven't had the opportunity to fish it yet but I'm looking forward to it. The lightness and sensitivity of the NRX is amazing. I have a few Dobyn's Champ Extremes and to me they don't come close.
  9. 6th Sense Crush 50 and Crush 100 in bluegill fire and/or bluegill spawn. KVD 1.5 and KVD 2.5
  10. After fishing with other rods it just feels dead.
  11. After thinking about it a little bit I think the 733 Champion Extreme rod would be decent. It's listed as fast but it's a little bit slower than most but still has enough backbone for grass, etc. I may try that out. I have the Fury 705CB, Champ XP 735/736CB's. The 705 has really fallen out of favor for me and I'm considering trying out a Champion XP to see the difference.
  12. EDIT: I'm not the sharpest tool. There is an OPEN option on the external brake dial. Opens perfectly in that setting.
  13. Well I finally got the reel in and I can't get the dang side plate open. I PM'ed DVT as he has helped me in the past. Has the same problem on a Curado 70 and I think after loosening the spool tension I was able to open it. I've tried just about everything I can think of and can't get it open. Thoughts anyone?
  14. I've sold all of my Daiwa's but one and i can tell you I never knew when I was holding the Zillion SV or the Tat SV. They felt pretty much the same all around to me.
  15. This picture only works if that's an Ultrex
  16. Just picked up a new Scorpion DC and I'm pretty excited about it as it will be my first DC reel. Anyone have one and care to share their experience? I know little to nothing about them except the obvious digital control.
  17. Got a few spools for free from ordering some specific reels. I have it on my topwater rod that I throw ploppers on. No issues for me at all. It is thin so maybe go up 10# from standard braid if using on a baitcaster. I had some 30# on a jig rod and it would dig in a bit when trying to pop the line of snags and things like that.
  18. Do you guys throw them on straight braid?
  19. I throw light T-rigs on mine. 1/4oz (plus plastic) and below. I was throwing 3/8oz jig and trailer on mine for a while. Works like a dream. True, I had 20# Abrazx for a while and I could easily spool myself
  20. Awesome haul! Thanks @fishballer06
  21. I figured that's something they could take care of manually, pretty easily.
  22. I bet if you called they would've helped you out
  23. There is a another site I'm starting to like just as much. Can't talk about here though.
