  1. Thanks. I’ve got a couple of other models. I don’t care too much for the Fuji hook keepers. Usually just hook it on the reel.
  2. I grabbed one finally. Interested to see how it compares to my GLX 894.
  3. Red label also
  4. I have both. 853 is light t-rig/weightless senko rod for me. It would be fine for 1/4oz jigs I think. I throw the 3/8+ on GLX 894. I've even thrown small keitechs on the 853.
  5. Abu Garcia Veritas Winch 7'11" XH for 10XD's Not going to be great for anything else.
  6. 6xd would be the biggest I would throw on it.
  7. Didn't look at it that way but that is what I ended up doing. Should have my new rod Wednesday.
  8. Yes, I have the 8.5:1 on my flipping setup. 50# braid. Works great.
  9. It sure makes me feel a lot better about breaking an expensive rod.
  10. It was definitely my fault. I meant to make that clear in the original post. I set the hook low into the side of my boat.
  11. I see my only option as the Expeditor deal. They charge me the $100 and ship the rod and I put the old rod in the new rod package and ship back. Is is there a better option I’m not seeing?
  12. Or a GLX. You buy a new rod and it saves you the $100 replacement fee.
  13. So it looks like with ALF you have to buy another rod of equal or lesser value and they give you the replacement rod for free. I was hoping something more along the lines of paying a little extra to upgrade. Something to think about either way.
  14. I'll do that. Thank you!
  15. Hi guys, I broke my GLX 854 today on a hook set so I am going to take advantage of the Expeditor program. I’m curios to know if you can upgrade through the program (GLX to NRX)? The website doesn't address it either way as far as I can tell and they are closed for the weekend. TIA
  16. BNIB Aldebaran for $260. Thank you!
  17. Academy has 200 yd spool of InvisX for $14.99. All sizes.
  18. I just shipped some rods with usps on Friday and it was $48. I was paying $20-$30
  19. I’ve shipped usps plenty of times. It’s usually $20-30. The last time I went they said they didn’t think they could ship it but they measured and said it was ok. Only problem is they are rough with the tubes and I’ve had them break a few. I hate shipping rods.
  20. The 50's are noticeably smaller than the 70? I just purchased a 50e so I'm curious.
  21. RTIC soft 20
  22. I was able to do everything online. I never had to visit a brick and mortar location.
  23. I have very limited experience with these baits but I'm looking to start throwing them more. There is little to no grass where I fish but there are a ton of lily pads. I fish mostly docks with some rocky/woody bank beating thrown in. Do they work well around docks? I've thrown them in the pads a bit but it's a strange feeling because i feel like I'm fishing it wrong. I'm throwing them on a weighted swimbait hook. I'll let it sink and start reeling slowly but I can't keep it down in the pads because it rides up the stems and over the top of the pads. Am I doing something wrong or is that just what happens? Any advice or thoughts is much appreciated. Thanks.
  24. Well after reading this it looks like I was extremely fortunate to have everything go so smoothly with my claim. If I had read this prior I would have been super worried. I hope everything goes as smoothly for you as it did me, @wet_dream
