  1. Salisbury has a couple of ponds (Johnson and Leonard Mill) and the Pokomoke River is south on 113 near Snow Hill and Pocomoke. Other than that I don't have much for you on the MD side of things, I just haven't fished down that way very much.
  2. my local retailer that carries Costas didn't have any frames that fit me comfortably, so I have settled on a pair of Oakleys this time around (shallow water lenses). I have worn Maui Jims for the past few years, but have relegated the two pairs I have of them to driving. I wear a yellow lens spiderwire pair of polarized glasses ($5 Walmart) for fishing 90% of the time right now that will be replaced by the Oakleys in the next month or so.
  3. I use chrome, clearing the cache seems to have sped the site back up for me
  4. sometimes you find something pretty in the livewell... at least we know what they were eating under the spatterdock.
  5. IPT(In per turn): 37.4in on https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01MTY022N/_encoding=UTF8?coliid=I2I1WGRWGMCXRA&colid=ZDZ15269F6YU
  6. some days I feel just like this...
  7. we went out for a while yesterday evening, after getting blanked at the marina (and losing a whopper plopper 90 to a mooring rope) we stopped by another pond on the way home. I tied on a baby mad paca in green pumpkin (t-rig 1/4oz) and pulled this beauty from the spillway waters. Between the two of us we had five fish from 2-4 lbs in about 20 minutes.

  10. I taught myself both when learning a baitcaster, but find the hookset is more comfortable/natural when I have the rod in my right hand, so I just sold my last rh one over the weekend. It's all in what is comfortable overall for each person.
  11. we spent Friday through Sunday at a campground on MD's eastern shore, fished there and all along local creeks when we could get to them. This was the largest of mine for the weekend, but we had a blast relaxing.
  12. I took my gf over to the game on Monday evening in DC. I really thought that the Mets would pull it off at the end, but not so much. Really good seats and a great day for baseball, even as much as it hurt to wear blue instead of Phillies red (she's a Met's fan) but she was happy... did I mention that they were great seats?
  13. or, O-ring and nail weight with my wacky setup in my case. I use this in calmer water when I want a smaller presentation and slower fall.
  14. Personally I got annoyed about the third yellow perch on the ned rig, so I put a senko style 5" stick bait on the ned hook wacky style, and hit 2 2.5lb bass in the next ten minutes. I will revisit the ned in the future, but for now I stick with what I have working for me. I do know that the #2 hook directly through the top lip was my strongest hookup of the day on those two bass. Usually i'm off to the side or in the gullet with wacky (gammy) hooks.
  15. I use them pretty much any time that I'd be using a spinnerbait with a colorado blade (muddy water). Steady slow retrieve with intermittent rip/pause to cause erratic action. They are very good baits for finding stumps lol
  16. walked around DC on Monday for a few hours
  17. long arm fish pics. "forgot my scale, how much does this fish weigh?" "nope, it's got to be at least 5 lbs"
  18. on Amazon, Eposeidon has the KastKing Stealth on lightning deal for the next hour and 40 minutes for only $48.43 I'm banned from fishing purchases until after next Wednesday, but it's really tempting me. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B019F2IBV8/_encoding=UTF8?coliid=I16W1SKMWTDQDO&colid=ZDZ15269F6YU
  19. has the exchange rate gotten that bad with Canada now?
  20. we all know one of these dogs...
  21. Molix SS Super Squeaky in Ike's Bogolu Dace, silver blade with white/chartreuse skirt, silver blade with skirt removed and a Yamamoto 5" spinnerbait trailer (smoke) not necessarily in that order
  22. a purple ribbon tail worm. I don't remember the brand from 30 years ago, but I used to tell my mom "come to the pond, and watch me catch fish". Never a doubt back then lol
  23. It will depend on whether you are looking to bank fish or have a boat/kayak. http://www.dnrec.delaware.gov/fw/fisheries/pages/delawarepondbooklet.aspx Just north of Rehoboth in Milton is Wagamon's pond, across from that is a fishing area on the broadkill river, as well as Milton's marina/boat ramp area around the corner. I often walk the bank by the marina in the evenings. South of Milton on RT 30 is Millsboro pond. There is not much bank fishing there, but the guys have been tearing it up back in the pads. North along 30 is Milford. There you will find a few different ponds/rivers that have bank access, Silver lake, Misspillion River, Blair's Pond, Haven Lake, Griffeth's pond. South from there on 113 there is Redden State Forest headquarters, and they have a small pond there that can be fun (even though it is really small)
  24. at the $250 per rod price point I would go custom, have someone build out exactly what you want in each rod. something like this...
  25. nice one at lunchtime today private pond about 3 miles from work.
