  1. I guess since there wasn't a gloat on here none of you started Smith, Hill, and Gillislee on the same team. I wouldn't have, but week one bye took out Winston and Ajayi... let's just say, 71 points after Thursday night last week, I won lol
  2. hmmm, Pool (billiards) this is from 2013: and bowling... This is an old pick, But the trophy rack is packed up for the move. There are a few more plaques and trophies on it when we get settled in this weekend.
  3. there are a few of us Delaware folk here, @BassObsessed and myself plus others, then a few guys from the MD side that get over this way, such as @MDbassin. I'm on the slower lower end of the state, but I do get as far north as Smyrna from time to time. Welcome to the board
  4. no, and I'm probably better off not lol I didn't get to watch any football at all yesterday between the draft and honey do list
  5. It will depend on your area, I looked at the tiller ones just because I planned to use it for ponds mainly. If I was running the river I would want something a bit heavier, with the larger motor and a console. I found that my buddy's 16' tracker could get into smaller water than the big boys and we did well on ponds that we were the only boat in areas. On the river he's at a disadvantage because the 40 hp just doesn't get him to spots that the bigger boats can get to in time to fish and get back.
  6. yeah, I saw the same scam on CL here in DE as well. They used pics from an ebay auction and claimed to be in GA for that one. If it looks like too good to be true, it usually is.
  7. my keeper FFB draft was yesterday at noon, of course the first report I see this morning is Cam Meredith out for the year... Oh well, I guess I'll have to trade a rb away for a wr. Pretty happy with my team overall, even with Cam out. It is an odd format for a draft, with the first 6 rounds being auction, then snake draft remainder. (Wentz and J. Howard were my keepers)
  8. you can get a brand new 1652 for right around $3k, but of course the motor and other options would be added cost.
  9. 2004 Explorer NBX package with the 4.6L V8. Nothing fancy, and a lot of miles, but she'll pull up to 7000 lbs. Now that I no longer live 1/4 mile from work I'm considering another vehicle (that gets better than 16 mpg) but the X will stick around for a few years to pull the boat and eventual camper. Since she's paid for it wouldn't make sense to add another payment and lose the towing capabilities. I'd need a 250/2500, Durango, or 1500 diesel Ram to get that back.
  10. this was in the livewell on the 2nd weekend of July, we were catching on Watermelon Red (and Red/Black) that day.
  11. I used to read Grisham all of the time, but now it's Vince Flynn's "American Assassin" series (first movie coming in Sept) followed up by several of John Ringo's book series's. Also I have really enjoyed the Song of Ice and Fire and LOTR books. I really should get back into reading more again, it seems that movies and tv have taken over my entertainment diet
  12. Baitcaster. And nail weights, I never realized how versatile they could be
  13. some days I miss the guinea hens, most mornings I don't. Getting ready to move back into the house in the woods, and the noisiest creature we'll have this time is a basset hound, so far... Of course the foxes, doves, and owls are still there, and the neighborhood cats. Still to be seen how long it takes her to start collecting farm animals again lol
  14. A buddy of mine's son... http://www.delaware1059.com/news/monster-catfish-caught-in-seaford-breaks-delaware-state-record/article_48b4f098-7c55-11e7-8015-137060b4c439.html I fish the Nanticoke probably a dozen times a year, but not for catfish. yet. The state record snakehead was pulled out of there this year as well, at a spot I have been to many times. (on a senko no less)
  15. "Marion Station, MD 120 acres. 40 acres clear, 40 wooded, and 40 marsh with small gut off Marumsco Creek with boat ramp. 3BR 1BA block rancher with new roof and recent paint and updates. Workshop, chicken house, and manure shed also on property. Great for hunting lodge, recreation, or rental/lease income. Deer, waterfowl, small game. Farmland presently leased. For sale by owner asking $275,000. For sale only, renting and/or leasing not an option." this would work for me, from March until November anyway lol
  16. lol, I reckon. I was in Vegas last year during one of my online drafts, lets just say it didn't go so well. My main keeper league that I've been in since 2005 is drafting on the 27th as well, so that'd keep me from this league. Doing two rookie drafts each year for my dynasty leagues is plenty enough to drive me half insane, then having to research a standard scoring redraft league on top of the ppr leagues... I just think I'll pass.
  17. funny thing about fishing, my results are exactly opposite of this. I started out at 2/0 and am down to #1 or #2 gammys now. I still have some 1/0 left and maybe one or two 2/0, but my biggest fish this year were on #2 hooks. I also have stopped paying the extra money for the "weedless" and simply buy the finesse wide gap hooks from Gamakatsu.
  18. tempting, but three leagues is my max. I learned that the hard way last year, luckily it only cost me a bit of pride and $120 lol
  19. right now I have an @BizzBaits cutter craw in "mud craw" on a T-rig and a Havoc craw fatty in black/blue on a jig... they're my favorites, today.
  20. a little taste of the fun from Friday night:
  21. our weekend included a tractor pull... great times nothing quite like the sound of 3 blown chevy engines turning 7k+ through open headers
  22. supporting local... 16 Mile beer and a food truck, glanced up and thought hmm, I need to snap that one.
  23. I have problems with this when walking a frog, like posted above you can put tension on it with your fingers. It shouldn't change the action on the bait at all, and may actually help you with feel.
  24. you could try this: it's 40# hi-vis Yellow at that price https://www.overstockbait.com/Power-Pro-150-Yard-Fishing-Line-8-to-50-lb-Test-p/21100.htm I didn't like it very much, and I think that I have a full spool laying around the shop. If you want to try it on the cheap shoot me a pm and I'll ship it to you for a few bucks. It is the "stealth glo-vis" not the EZ after all, but the offer stands. I think it's either 40 or 50 lb and I think 300 yds, but I will check, and a 300yd spool? of 65# that I used 50yds or so off of. I will check it tonight if you want.
  25. that tournament isn't until Aug 7-11 lol I may actually make it down to OCM to see part of the weighins this year.
