  1. Here is an article on Outdoor Life https://www.outdoorlife.com/fishing/new-york-record-bass/
  2. They have the 3.75" in Bone Crusher available. They are now 50% off with code"2023". https://grandefishing.myshopify.com/products/3-8-kickback-shad-bone-crusher The email that I received said 50% all airtails and kickbacks until Monday (yesterday) or until supplies last. I still see the discount now on both baits.
  3. The Spring Classic sale pages are now live, but without the sale prices showing. For now, you can browse and see what will be on sale, you just can't see the sale price. https://www.basspro.com/shop/en/spring-fishing-classic

  5. You can combine that with code SHIPPING for free shipping.
  6. Tom, is that oral or rectal? LOL Try Weather Underground. For example, go to this page for Marietta, GA: https://www.wunderground.com/weather/us/ga/marietta Then scroll to the bottom and pick a local weather station. Here is a graph for Lake Laura Gardens, Marietta, GA:
  7. This is a pretty funny video... and it doesn't sound too bad either.
  8. I do use them, usually when I am using a swimbait with a EGW hook, so that the bait doesn't roll over. I like being able to add these to just about any hook and not having to buy special weighted hooks in different sizes. I have the 1/16 oz weights (about 1/4" long) which allows me to go light on smaller hooks or heaver by adding more than one on bigger hooks. I've read of people using a split shot but haven't tried that. I pinch them on with pliers and haven't had any problems with them sliding or falling off. Here is one on a 2/0 EWG hook with a Berkley Havoc Grass Pig Jr. (3.5").
  9. Instead of buying a weighted hook, you could use a hook weight. https://www.basspro.com/shop/en/bass-pro-shops-xps-hook-weights
  10. The Yum Pulse Swimbait is a great bait and only $3.99 for 8. https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Yum_Pulse_Swimbait/descpage-YPSD.html
  11. 12. I have experienced the same exact thing. Use a Ned rig. I use 1/2 of a Yum Dinger on a 1/8 oz. ball headjig.

  14. Academy has a flash sale today with 25% off a lot of Plano storage boxes. Some other brands too. https://www.academy.com/shop/browse/shops/thanksgiving-day-sale/fishing-deals?orderBy=3
  15. That's true but I hate paying for them. That's why I'm on a mission to find something that works as good weightless, wacky style but at a better price.
  16. I finally got around to trying these. They feel more like a Senko, softer and heavier (10.0 grams) then the Yum Dingers (9.2 grams) but not quite as heavy as the Senkos (11.0 grams). I tried them rigged wacky style and found that they have a wiggle very similar to Senkos. I didn't catch anything (on any bait) today, but I like what I see in the Zlinky. I've tried several Senko stick type baits and I think this is the closest action that I've seen to a wacky rigged Senko.
  17. Last year I used a 4.5" Yum Pulse quiet a bit in the fall and into the winter. I caught a lot more pike than bass but I did catch a 4.75 lb. largemouth on November 23 in 46 degree water. Don't be afraid to use them in cold water.
  18. I know fishing tackle is in short supply but this price seems a little high. https://www.walmart.com/ip/seort/55503908
  19. Fishing Tackle Outlet has a lot of Zoom products on sale for $1.99 per bag or less.
  20. I find the 1/4" o-rings to be too tight for 5" Senkos and similar baits. These o-rings will cut into the bait especially if they are soft. These are the ones that I've used: Bass Pro Shops XPS Quick Rigger Replacement Rings Size: 6 mm (1/4") ID, 9.5 mm (3/8") OD, 1.75 mm (1/16+") CS Price: $2.99/25 You can find this size o-ring cheaper here: Buna O-Rings Size: 1/4" ID x 3/8" OD x 1/16" CS Price: $1.00/100 Currently I am using 5/16" o-rings which are a little loose but they do generally hold the worm. I've lost a few when a fish has grabbed the worm by the end and pulled it off. These are: Buna O-Rings Size: 5/16 ID x 7/16 OD x 1/16 CS Price: $1.00/100 The next time I order o-rings I am going to try the 7mm size which is between the 1/4" and 5/16", about 9/32". You can find those here: Metric Buna O-Rings Size: 7mm (9/32") ID x 10mm (13/32") OD x 1.5mm (1/16") CS Price: $1.00/25
  21. I'm really amazed how well the Berkley Powerbait Minnows work. Over the past couple weeks I've caught fish as small as 5" largemouth and as big as this 11.15 lb. freshwater drum (sheepshead) which was caught on a light rod with 10# braid and a 6# leader. I use the 3" Minnow, cut it down to about 2-1/2" and fish it on a 1/16 oz jig head. Cast it out and slowly reel it back with little shakes and an occasional pop. It's an almost perfect match for the minnows in the area and has worked really well for me!
  22. Has anyone else tried these? What do you think of them? I just found them on BPS website and I can't decide if I should order some. They are still $2.99.
  23. I believe the 15% off was only until Fri 6/5. You can still get 10% off with code "Lurenet10" and $5 off your first order if you signup for their newsletter.
  24. It is working for me. I think you need to be logged in to your account for it to work.
