You wouldn’t be talking about Lake Menderchuck would you? BTW all I have to do now is type ‘mend’ and auto fill brings up Menderchuck. ?
OP, I stayed away from jigs for years because of the muck bottoms I fish. A few years back I started pitching to cover and started to love jig fishing! This lead me to start trying swim jigs and I’ve had great success! Go with swim jigs. Like @A-Jay mentioned a light bullet weight and a Rage bait has been a staple in my boat as well if I want to touch bottom.
Ever try whiskey stones, or do you prefer a little water from the actual cubes?
I got my parents a some whiskey stones a few years back and I’ve never remembered to ask them what they thought.
The splitting of atoms is what creates a nuclear bomb and the heat in a nuclear plant correct? How do they go about splitting atoms?
Thinking about it, I just remembered there’s a giant atom smasher on the MSU campus less than an hour from here.
Ok, question for anyone who knows about anything nuclear. I was watching “I was there” on the History channel last night and the episode was about the Chernobyl disaster and it got me thinking. What causes nuclear reactors to heat up? I understand they creat heat and use steam to creat the power, but what creates the heat. Also how does nuclear radiation work? It’s basically snowing nuclear fallout in the episode and it has deadly consequences and lasting effects, what is it that causes such irreversible damage to the body and the surrounding areas for decades or centuries?
My nerd brain has been in overdrive lately. ?
I’m a calico, my hair used to be blonde (now it’s a lighter brown, my beard is red, my chin is brown, my mustache (which I don’t grow) is blonde as light as my hair used to be, and my eyebrows are almost black. Not sure what the heck is going on! ?
After the warm day yesterday (65) and rain last night mud season is here. In my travels today I saw a few four wheelers on the local lakes today so there’s still a ton of ice. Back to the 30’s today and this coming week.
About 25 years ago I tried the surfer look with somewhat longer hair. I’ve always kept it shorter, maybe 2” up top. Now I don’t have squat for hair so I keep it about as short as you can without using a razor (not quite ready for that).
The beard, I keep it short and trimmed. Once a year during the winter I’ll let it grow a bit until it starts to bug me then I’ll trim it back. I just trimmed it last week actually after letting it grow for a couple months. The longer it got the more grey I noticed so that was a bad idea. The wife would kill me if I took a razor and went to bare skin, she says I have a baby face.
I’d guess it was a micro burst and maybe it got between the houses and was amplified like a big wind tunnel? I know in downtown Grand Rapids the wind gets between those big buildings and the pressure has nowhere to go and it seems to be more intense down some of those streets.
