GOAT! End of conversation

I was 9 when I saw my first bald Eagle and that was in northern Michigan. We don’t see them regularly around here but see one maybe every couple of months. There are areas around here where there are nesting pairs so people around there probably see them on a regular basis. Nonetheless, they have increased in the last 30 years.

Mystery solved ?

I just heard this morning on the radio the Bald Eagle numbers are declining here in Michigan and the majority of the birds have elevated lead levels. I can see a similar bill happening here.

To get the most bang for your buck check out the Garmin Echomap units. If you’re patient and wait for sales (Bass Pro has their spring sales soon) you might be able to get two 9” units close to your budget. If not, you might be able to swing a 9” SideVu for the counsel and a ClearVu for the bow within your budget.

Sure those no telling what the next play would bring had the late hit never happened. Regardless, that was the dumbest thing you could do knowing full well he was going out of bounds.

9 inches of snow last night. light fluffy stuff so clean up should be a breeze. We’ve received 76” of snow so far and typically have 45” at this point. We went 25 days in a row without measurable snow. Crazy winter so far.

I got a similar one a couple years ago and my son (10 at the time) put it together. Fairly quickly too.

Nah, too many safety features to keep anything bad from happening. Fuel oil furnaces, now those you can make into a bomb if you don’t know what you’re doing. I never cared for those.

I can attest to this. I was checking inlet and outlet pressure on a gas valve one time and forgot to put the plug back in. I fired up the furnace, saw the plug glow, heard the gas valve open, heard the hissing sound, followed by a fireball coming at me. Who needs coffee in the morning when you have a fireball come at you and the smell of burnt hair. ? I actually did that twice!

I’m too far removed from the HVAC trade to be much help, but from what I remember, there were plenty of times I would take the hoses off to find a white powder inside that would interrupt (if you will) the proper functioning of the pressure switch. I’d clean that out by gently blowing or sucking on it. You have to be very careful when doing this, because the diaphragm in the pressure switch is VERY fragile!

I’m not sure what this cold, white, fluffy stuff is that keeps falling from the sky. Whatever it is, it’s making the roads slippery and causing cars to crash.
