Well apparently I need to pay closer attention to the weather guessers. I was completely surprised to wake up this more and see around 4-5 inches of heavy wet fresh snow! I thought an inch or less. ?

I guess he's caught some flack in the past about mentioning where he was. So he keeps quiet now. Painting a tube....that left me scratching my head. As you know I haven't chased after the brown ones for very long, so maybe you can answer, does the subtle orange paint really make that much difference to the fish or is it more of a confidence thing?

Sunny upper 30's this weekend up here so I imagine yours will be close to the same or better so I'd say you should be good to go.

I spoke to a guy the other day who is originally from Houghton-Hancock Michigan which is about as far north as you can go in Michigan. He spoke to his dad the other day and they still have 39" of snow on the ground. I'll gladly stay down here and stare at dormant grass!

Keep in mind Mr. Clunn a couple years back won, and a few years before that went toe to toe with Keith Combs on Amistad. He/they may not be up there on the leaderboard week in and week out, but keep in mind there are plenty of young bucks that aren't either. Take a look at the FLW roster (nothing against FLW) and you'll see some names that will refresh your memory of their Elite days. Yet Mr. Clunn, Mr. Grigsby and others are still fishing the Elites year after year. I'll start the list of young bucks: Jason Quinn Derik Remitz Chad Grigsby

The wife has been sick twice in 2 months. Once with the flu. My son and I are knocking on wood every chance we get.

Replicas are more expensive, but they'll usually last forever. Skin mounts not so much. Another option to remember your trophy is doing something @A-Jay has done. He has pictures blown up into larger pictures that are very well done and look great (my horrible description doesn't do them justice). If I do it, I hope it works out too. I'm only in the planning and research stages so we'll see. If I do it and it's to your quality I'll cut you a heck of a deal. ?

I misinterpreted what you were saying which is exactly why I asked for clarification first. I agree to an extent. I feel you could find a few good artists here and there that aren't going to require you to refinance your house in order to get the work done. I've stated before I want to try my hand in this skill as a hobby, and I'd like to be one of those guys that produce very detailed quality fish at a reasonable rates that most if not all can afford. Surely I'm not the only one thinking like this (I hope). This is obviously still in the planning stages so maybe I'm off in left field. If I am I guess I'll just have a bunch of fish hanging on the wall annoying the wife.

You're on a roll. You sign up revive a 4 year old thread to bash a brand then start your own thread to bash the brand again. So your TM wasn't working right. Return it, it's under warranty. Have you looked at complaints about MK? There's plenty. Both are good brands, no need to bash either. Have you ever heard that saying s@!* happens?
