  1. Well 6poundbass and I headed out yesterday morning so he could break in his new Mike Iaconelli spinning combo he got for his birthday last week. @OCdockskipper would be proud knowing my son specifically asked for the Ike combo. LOL He ended up catching 7 in just over three hours. Most went around 1-8.He was pretty geeked. No more spincast for him.
  2. They're making it back out to the west coast and the California Delta which should make some of you west coast guys happy. Then up to Washington and the Columbia river. Maybe we'll see @Glenn photo and video bombing the event. https://www.bassmaster.com/news/2019-elite-series-schedule-revealed
  3. They already do. Both Minn Kota and Motorguide do. I have one and hate the wireless foot pedal.
  4. Tackleunderground.com is the best site for the lure maker. They have everyone from newbies like you to guys who have huge set ups that do it for a living. Do-it molds has a ton of different molds including and exact copy of the Senko I spent a lot of time on Tackle underground pondering the idea of making my own lures and the thought still comes and goes from time to time but from what I've read on there and he adds from some who do it is you're not really doing it to save money because it's not a cheap hobby. I can see what they mean, I've never don't it and I was already thinking "ok I need this, this, and this" and the list goes on and next thing you know you're up to your eyeballs in stuff you'll use once. That being said it does look fun and like I said earlier I stink think about doing it. Good luck with your venture.
  5. Awe what a bait and switch. The picture I posted a couple days ago didn't show the transducer (I know it was by design and would've been a dead giveaway). I imagine this will be a big hit. I'm wondering how long it'll be before one gets shipped to northern Michigan?
  6. Looks like it's a built-in MEGA DI transducer on the Fortex. I'll try and post the link..... http://anglerschannel.com/minn-kota-launches-new-trolling-motors-with-built-in-mega-down-imaging/
  7. @J Francho rockin' the death star shirt!
  8. It appears that way but Humminbird and Minnkota are both a part of Johnson outdoors so I don't see them competing with each other. I'm guessing a replacement for the us2 transducer that has SI and DI or maybe MEGA imaging inside the nose. I guess we'll see in a few days.
  9. Just saw this. Any ideas?
  10. The lake temp. Was 112?
  11. Lucas reel oil for me.
  12. Ribit Ribit! I stayed away from the Senko finally. I picked up my other crutch a frog. After the sun went behind the trees they started slamming the frog. I got 6 in probably 45 minutes. There's nothing better than 65lb braid and throwing a frog into the thick slop! This girl went 4-5
  13. I think a salt impregnated soft plastic worm that has a unique flutter when it falls that's made by a Japanese man will steal the show and take the fishing world by storm! Just a prediction, I have no inside information, and I'm no clairvoyant. ?
  14. What's your budget?
  15. Happy birthday America! Fast fact: we actually declared our independence from Great Britain On July 2, 1776.
  16. I don't really study much. I might ready a little and see what kind of color the primary fish is, like you who did well the last time IF the info. If easily found by that I mean one click, and finally which presentations tend to do well. I take all this info. and will still shoot from the hip and sit back and watch. Even after my algorithm is developed, and my hypothesis is proved or disproved, and I put every single odd in my favor from my very scientific way of selecting anglers I'm still bummed when I do poorly. ?
  17. Round 1: I tried when I was 13 lost interest because I wanted to play songs within the first week, plus I was trying to self teach. Sold the electric. Round 2: my father in-law who had played for 60 years (amazing guitarist) bought me an acoustic guitar and a learn to book to read while he worked in China. I had a 2 year old he was there 3 months to a time. I didn't really have time and shortly after he retired he passed away. Round 3: my son 5 at the time saw me playing around with it and wanted to learn, so we sign him up for lessons and I figured I learn from his lessons. The teacher you could tell hadn't taught kids before and my son got frustrated so that didn't last long. I still have a burning desire to learn to play. I inherited my father in law's really nice acoustic and I'd like to learn to play so I can play songs at Christmas time like he did. Life is just kind of crazy at this point but eventually I'll get there. My biggest problem is the chord transition, those got me every time.
  18. We were made aware of this plant at my work a couple years ago. I work along the road right of way all day every day and poisonous plants are a safety hazard for us. Before switching companies and only locating gas I used to do phone, electric, cable, and gas. The first three tend to be further off the road than gas and I used to get poison ivy at least once a year usually twice. That stuff if horrible! Knock on wood I haven't gotten it since switching companies and only locating gas. I couldn't imaging get mixed up with giant hogweed. I like how your article says it was brought over in 1917 as an ornamental plant. Oops!
  19. I went from 60th place for all of Fantasy Fishy and ended up in 256th place for the tournament. I was pretty happy. To be honest I've forgotten to set my team for two events this year because life has been so incredibly busy. I almost forgot about this one too. I remembered at the last minute and went through and looked for reliable brown bass guys and threw them on my team. I got lucky. LOL
  20. That's why Glenn is so generous with them. LOL
  21. No, Ocamica. The thought crossed my mind to pick him though. Thankfully I didn't.
  22. Lucas, Ehler, and Lee moving on for me. I finally have a decent showing.
  23. Holy crap I just looked at my update an I'm in 60th for all of fantasy fwishing! Lucas Ehler J.Lee F.Shryock These are who's left fishing today
  24. I'm not familiar with your bird you're referring to but birds tend to know if there's a bad egg. Like @A-Jay we are surrounded by trees also so there's a ton of nesting birds. We have a pair of robins that have nested in the same bush off our porch for 4 years strait. They've become used to us so they don't try to attack anymore. We've noticed over the past couple years there'll be an egg or two missing from the previous day so I'm assuming they're getting rid of them. We've finally kicked them out this year after her nest was raided shortly after the eggs hatched. Over the past 4 years I've seen 2 babies live long enough to leave the nest.
