snow every day for the next week. Thankfully most will be lake effect so most the brunt won't get to us. The 11" snow dumping for Monday has changed and looks to be staying south. Starting tomorrow the Arctic blast comes in and it looks like the warmest it's going to be for the next 6-8 days is 10. The predicted windchills for Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday are as follows -35 -25 -22 There won't be a whole lot of work going on, they've already said 15 minutes outside 20 minutes in, and we'll do that until the wind chill get up to a safer level.

Freezing rain yesterday afternoon for the drive home, then we got 3" inches of heavy wet snow over night, now it's 36 and raining, and tonight it's going to be 25. What a mess!

I love my Abu Black Max and Pro Max reels. I've spent over $100 on one rod the rest are $50 or less. I don't know what high end is like so I know, no different. I catch fish and I have a blast doing it that's all that matters. Plus kids are expensive! ?

I was in your shoes two years ago. I at the time had planned to upgrade boats and with it get good quality electronics. I started researching what each feature was, example I read all about down imaging (each company calls it something different) and watched videos. I did the same with Side Imaging, 2d sonar, and CHIRP, I read about the mapping each company provides, and about the ability to make your own maps. These are all things you'll have to learn in order to use these units to their best capabilities something I've yet to completely do. So the best thing for you to do is read, watch videos, ask questions, and learn. The more information you have about each feature the better your decision will be. We can all give you our opinions but the more you know before buying the better off you'll be, and the more comfortable you'll be about your purchase. At the end of the day it's a decent chunk of change we're talking about.

I have a couple that went bad. I read they're good for around the 100k mark. I did a little searching for replacements and they aren't cheap, about $70 a pop. My truck barely gets driven now so I'll check the tires the old fashion way, that way seemed to work for 100 plus years.

The Linder's have been in the business 30-40 years? They have articles and DVD's with this info you're looking for. I'm willing to bet everyone that has been mentioned has this info you're looking for. It may not be all in one video or article, but they've done it. You may have to take notes and compile this info to get exactly what you need but it's there. My curiosity is getting the best of me, does it have to be from only one angler, or can it be this is what Ike uses during pre-spawn, this is what Hackney uses during the spawn, and so on? If from only one why only one?

Pretty darn cold right now. The wind chill is -22 right now. The area schools closed because it's so cold the busses can't stay warm enough inside and it's way too dangerous for the kids to stand outside and wait for the bus.
