  1. I can’t help you with particular lakes, because I’m just getting into smallmouth fishing and I only have two lakes around me that have them. I have read Croton dam and Hardy pond in the Newaygo area are good. It’s a river impoundment so weather isn’t an issue. There’s a Michigan thread here you can ask in there and I’m sure a few Michigan guys that chase after SMB will help you out.
  2. I don’t know what kind of boat you have but there are plenty of smaller lakes in Michigan with smallmouth in them, rivers as well.
  3. How many pieces is this build and how many pages is that instruction manual?
  4. I think they’ll keep us budget minded consumers in mind like they do with their other electronics. Maybe not at first but eventually. Heck maybe they’ll have a whole line up they’ll reveal at ICAST.
  5. 3 threads down from the one you started
  6. We have a Michigan thread going, you should check it out. I’ve had some beds being made on the lake I live on. I haven’t seen many, but Sunday was the last time I really looked.
  7. All you have to do is ask me. It’s right next to lake Nunya.
  8. Awesome thank you! Looks like I’m hitting Lake “X”. As long as I’m not working. ?
  9. Anybody know of a site where it lists what lakes have tournaments? I want to hit one of two SM lakes around me Saturday (if I don’t have to work ?) but both are the biggest around and I imagine this weekend will be a big tournament weekend. I want to stay away from that mess, I’ll already have to be in and out of any lake before 11 to avoid the “boaters”.
  10. So he has a fish fry? Sorry I couldn’t resist. Baby bass is one of my go to Senko colors.
  11. You could always get an elephant. I thought I read some place they along with several other animals have been known to predict earthquakes. Never mind what the other animals are just get the elephant.
  12. I am glad I live in a pretty boring state in regards to potential life threatening weather/natural disasters.
  13. Yup Garmin. You can go from a transom ducer to a TM ducer in about 60 seconds and a few screws, and it all comes in one unit no need to exchange transducers and wait.
  14. Maybe this’ll help? From this both have 9 spines. From the picture of the bass in question it’s kind of hard to tell without a doubt whether the dorsal fin is attached. It does appear that the jaw clearly extends past the eye. It does have spotted bass characteristics like the spots on the belly. My non expert opinion is that it’s a fish.
  15. Awesome video. I like the introduction before each fish, nice touch!
  16. Coming weeks as in soon or coming weeks as in Icast? Yes, no, or maybe is PowerPole one of them?
  17. You have received the bills from us yet! Glad to see it worked out and now you have a new skill. I loved soldering when I did plumbing.
  18. Yeah we’re going to put a bigger dock in, that won’t be until next year though, this years budget is long gone. The one we have now is about 10’ long. I’d like to double that. This one came with the house so it’ll work this year.
  19. Not much of the new TM is shown here, but the head of the TM is different looking.
  20. Football was canceled today so he decided to try fishing. I think he has the bass bug.
  21. Yes. It has an adapter so mounting to a TM is simple
  22. Happy anniversary to you guys. Today is 13 years for the Mrs. and I.
  23. I’ve done that. I redid my old flat bottom about 5 years ago and got a new jack. First time leaving to go fishing I leave it down and drug it down my driveway. I feel your pain.
  24. The wife and I had a ‘date night’ we grabbed the poles and hit a bridge close to us to see if any smallies were in the river. First cast with her trusty Senko and she nailed the first SMB of the year that went 2-10.
