  1. That’s why you pay to have an inspection done. When finding an inspector you really need to do your homework to make sure they know what they’re doing. We just went through the selling and buying last year. We learned that an inspector can’t be held liable for anything missed, so make sure you get one with a good reputation and make sure you are there while they are doing the inspection.
  2. Thank you! As you know they’re fun to catch.
  3. Thank you sir! Thankfully it broke right at the second guide from the tip so it wasn’t an issue. I’ll fix it up this weekend, but it did the trick. I’m still trying to get my first lake smallmouth, but for now I’ll take what I can get.
  4. A little too windy last night so we hit the river too see what we could come up with. Even though the river was moving at a pretty good clip from all the rain, I found a bend with less current which produced my new smallie PB at 3-10
  5. Well done. Looks like some good eatin’ Right there (minus the bass).
  6. Exactly. They said the majority of the bass caught would be spotted bass. From my understanding spotted bass typically don’t get very big anyways. On top of that it doesn’t seem that Table Rock produces giant bass like Chick, Florida, and Texas. Not saying they aren’t there.
  7. The night started out rough. The G3 was loaded and ready to go. Mother Nature was having none of it. The wind was blowing too hard. The wife and I decided to load the poles up to try bridge fishing. I broke the tip off my jig rod when I closed the tail gate. We get to the river and it’s flowing really fast from last Friday’s 3 inches of rain we got in 4 hours. Not very optimistic. Third cast I tossed a jig to an area with little current and one hop and she slammed it! 3-10 was her final weight, 3-8 was the previous PB.
  8. At least you’d have good company. Lol congrats!
  9. Oh heck no. Maybe in my younger days. The only pay to play I’d probably go for would be Dude Wipes. That might come in handy! ?
  10. Interesting. I’ve heard some talk about another company where you could join their “pro staff” if you coughed up X amount of dollars. Was it something like that?
  11. I’ve had them since November. They’re ok. My only real complaint is every time I walk something in the heal rubs, so now it sounds like I have the walking farts. ?
  12. I’ll have to check them out on the next go around for boots. I have Wolverine boots now because I got them at 70% off. They’re ok but not like my Carhardt boots I had before. Maybe I was expecting too much since I had them for 3 years.
  13. Do they just make western style boots or regular boots as well? The only Ariats I’m familiar with are the western style (cowboy). I’ve heard they’re a good boot.
  14. Family night!
  15. ****UPDATE**** I said I’d give this line more time, I didn’t think it would take this long, but hey work was crazy last fall and has been this spring. After using this line line a few times last year and every time I’ve been out this year, I’m pleased to report that the line has softened up! It still casts smooth, knot strength is flawless, and sensitivity is great. All around this line is a good fit in my arsenal on my casting reels.
  16. I’m outside on my feet in my boots all day everyday 6 days a week. Carhardt have been awesome. They lasted me three years, probably longer if I would’ve been better at taking care of the leather.
  17. I actually looked up the car a couple days ago on the LEGO site, it’s quite impressive. I like how it has it’s own unique serial number and comes complete with it’s own day bag.
  18. We finally got a chance to get the G3 out on a different lake this morning. Things didn’t go quite as planned. The bass didn’t cooperate neither did the weather. We only got about 3 hours in and around 8:30 the wind picked up. By 9 we had enough of getting blown around. I got a dink on a spinnerbait and 6poundbass got one while we were waiting for the launch to free up.
  19. Things don’t get much better than a good frog bite! Awesome work!
  20. This big boy thumping his head off a tree sounds like a jackhammer. He’s gotten used to us so we are able to get fairly close for pictures and to watch him.
  21. Nice fatties, well done!
  22. What doesn’t your wife win? Lol
  23. Your cooler story reminded me of when I was a kid. We were going walleye fishing and on the way we went through an intersection and hit a bump! We looked back and saw a couple dozen minnows flickering in the summer sun on the pavement.
  24. I can’t help you with particular lakes, because I’m just getting into smallmouth fishing and I only have two lakes around me that have them. I have read Croton dam and Hardy pond in the Newaygo area are good. It’s a river impoundment so weather isn’t an issue. There’s a Michigan thread here you can ask in there and I’m sure a few Michigan guys that chase after SMB will help you out.
  25. I don’t know what kind of boat you have but there are plenty of smaller lakes in Michigan with smallmouth in them, rivers as well.
