  1. No they don’t make them in your size Paul.
  2. Why can’t you get a tan on your palms? ?
  3. Good luck to Nolan and Casey and GVSU (if they’re fishing, I imagine they are).
  4. I just started jig fishing particularly pitching to lay downs. The amount of jigs you guys are losing some days worries me. I’m loving pitching a jig, but I might have to get a second job after reading your posts.
  5. Triton would
  6. Are children who act in a rated ‘R’ movie allowed to see them? ?
  7. Nicely done! Sounds like a good day all together. That one does look like it’s seen better days. Which river?
  8. You’ve been killing it this year in the brown bass department! Something has been clicking. If the wife asks about all the lures, money spent, and time on the water just tell her you’re finding a food source for you and your family in the event of civil unrest, apocalypse, Great Depression, civil war, or anything along those lines. ?
  9. The Lions are on regular Fox. They’ve been horrible since before I was even a glimmer in my daddy’s eye. There was a Lions stat a few years ago. If I remember correctly it went something like this, Tom Brady has lost more Super Bowls than playoff games the Lions have played. So the Lions have never been on my radar. ?
  10. I get the outdoor channels, I think I pay $3/month as sort of an a la carte. I lost CBS Sports but still have FS1 go figure. I did also lose Fox Sports Detroit but since the Tigers and Wings are going to suck for the foreseeable future I’m not missing anything.
  11. Dang it! I have Dish too, but I dropped a package over the winter because there was only one channel we watched. That package included CBS Sports Network. I didn’t know they were airing these on CBS. I don’t ever watch that channel.
  12. What Chanel was this on? It didn’t record on my DVR. ?
  13. Great write up sir! I’ve had a few swing heads in my possession for a couple years now but have never used them. I’ve seen you use it a few times now and since this whole SMB excursion with you began in January I’ve had this presentation on my mind. You mentioned it a few times during our conversations but never really went into detail until now and the timing couldn’t have been better. You and I have been talking about Sneaky Lake a fair amount lately and this presentation I believe sets up perfectly for Sneaky Lake! I’m planning a trip over there this weekend and this is one lure I had planned to tie on. I wasn’t too sure about it since I’ve never thrown it then last night I look and bam you have a right up on the swing head! I’m looking forward to using it this weekend and putting your teachings to work! Thanks again!
  14. Why doesn’t baking soda freeze? ?
  15. From what I’m seeing it looks like @DHP is right, and he would have had to fish all the eastern opens which he missed the first one. Oh well a win is a win.
  16. Why do companies offer you a “free gift?” Since when we’re gifts not free? ?
  17. If that’s the case that sucks.
  18. Funny you say this. It does make you feel smart or gives you a ton of confidence. I guess I should never doubt you! Yup we are starting to find some honey holes, and finding new ones every time we go out. It’s been a fun productive year so far. I’m not to the point where I can replace throwing a frog as number one but I’m loving it.
  19. Well it looks like ole Ike won it! I’ll bet BASS never expected a BPT guy to win and fish the classic. I guess his classic streak continues. ?
  20. With pitching a jig to lay downs. This year I decided to try new things and stay away from my crutch (the Senko). Last weekend nothing was really working for me so I decided to pick up a jig and start pitching to lay downs and other cover. I’ve been practicing pitching for a couple years now, why I never fished it I couldn’t tell you. Last weekend I only caught a couple but it was a blast! This morning 6poundbass and I fished on our lake. We ran right to the spot I started with last weekend and first pitch bam got one. Two pitches later bam another. All in all I caught 7 in about 45 minutes with the biggest going around 3 pounds. Pitching a jig is a blast! I can’t believe I’ve gone all these years and missed out on all this fun!
  21. Why does the last piece of ice always stick to the bottom of the cup?
  22. My first memory was my grandpa taking me fishing to my aunts lake for bluegill, I was probably 5-6. My dad wasn’t in to fishing or hunting. Then a few years later my mom and her boyfriend rented a cottage and we spent a week there on the lake. That’s when I caught my first bass, 12 inches, that was so fun! A couple years after that my at my step dad came along and fishing took off! He had a house on a chain of lakes so we were always at the lake fishing. They got married, sold the lake house bought a camper and up north we went fishing Black lake two weeks a year. He’s a walleye guy and that’s what we did. Then came the UP property and more walleye fishing on Big Bay de Noc. It wasn’t until I turned 16 and my license did my bass fishing really take off. There were a couple farm lakes my friend and I fished, and the lake he lived on, mostly the farm lakes though. We always used a pre rigged three hooked worm with wire weed guards, only the natural color with the red dot would work. Anything less and we were going on a road trip to find them. I bought my first boat 14’ Tracker flat bottom when I was 19 (my 19th birthday present to myself) and I was always gone trying new lakes. A couple years later I meet my wife and find out she loves to bass fish! Fast forward 14 years and we live on a lake, we have a ton more lakes around us and we have our 9 year old son who is hooked on fishing. He’s been keeping track and it’s been 56 days since he’s gone without catching at least one bass. Rain or shine he’s on our dock or we’re on our boat getting them. I look forward to hearing his first memories of fishing. I remember his first fish and his first bass.
  23. Hydro dipping doesn’t look cheap. You’re better off buying a camp real or just dealing with things not matching. A cover to a Lowrance unit hydro dipped was over $45! So a reel might be a little cheaper but probably not by much.
