  1. You’re burning up 4 weeks of PTO just for the actual tournament days. Did you figure in travel days and most importantly practice days?
  2. Mid Michigan here. I keep them in the G3. I charge them once a month.
  3. “They’re not my pants officer”
  4. I’ll watch the news for the weather since I work outside. Once that’s done I try not to pay attention. I for sure don’t watch the world news. Live PD on the other hand, that’s entertaining! ?
  5. There’s still plenty of good around. I’ve helped push a few vehicles before too. A guy once stopped in a complete down pour to help me load a canoe on top of an SUV I used to have. It blew off when a sudden storm blew in and strait line winds destroyed my straps. The guy was drenched (as was I) but he still stopped and wouldn’t let me pay him or anything. Like @jbsoonerfan said good stories “aren’t newsworthy” which is why most times it’s the last 30 seconds of the news broadcast.
  6. Fall in Michigan. Too bad the sun wasn’t out to make the color on the trees pop, but that’s fall in Michigan. Will barely see the sun until March. Still nice to see the fall colors.
  7. You’re worse than the retail stores, earlier and earlier each year. Lol
  8. I didn’t get the skunk, but I did manage a snot rocket. The wind was tough, about and inch of rain fell over night. Oh well probably one of the last days we’ll get out.
  9. He could’ve just just boat for sale. ? You’re selling your boat, you just retired. What are you going to do with all your free time.
  10. Another thing to think about is the economy is so good right now that everybody and their brother is a builder, HVAC contractor, landscaper, and so on and so on. They’re probably the main reason you hear customers not get call backs. The economy tanks and these guys who flooded these markets go bye bye and the good true contractors survive and carry on.
  11. They are quite large
  12. I stopped at a mom and pop shop yesterday because they had a close out on their soft plastics. Looking for some good deals I came across some lures and thought of you @A-Jay. It was the Savage goby tube. Have you seen these before or tried them? They looked pretty cool, not sure if they’d produce more than the standard tube. Thought I’d throw that out there.
  13. I’ll be seeing you in the morning.
  14. One of my coworkers is in the planning stages of building a house. He’s been calling excavators to get a quote for basement and septic work for the spring. After calling a ton of excavators he finally got 4 quotes. The prices are high, but are all within a grand of each other. One of the excavators told him “things are so busy right now, most are booked a year out, they can set their own prices, and pick and choose the jobs they want to do. Construction has been absolutely crazy here for the last three years, good for the contractors but bad for the consumers. The way they’re all doing things now could bite them in the hind quarters when the economy slows down and they’ve developed a reputation of poor customer service.
  15. Well how’d it turn out?
  16. I got the email but didn’t sign up for anything, just opened the link on the original announcement.
  17. My stepdad is retired and works part time at a hardware store. They do small engine repair (he does heavy equipment) he said the ethanol is the main problem on the two stroke engines! Thankfully almost every gas station with in a 10 mile radius has “rec fuel” as we call it.
  18. I wish there we’re Academy stores in Michigan too!
  19. Stilletos are nice for framing all day. Anything other than that, yeah they won’t hold up.
  20. Welcome to the cool club. ?
  21. I take a sharpie and write the max depth or depth range on the belly and bill of the crankbait and freshen it up when needed. I cant tell you which brand or model my crankbaits are but I can tell you the depth range each one is capable of.
  22. I have Estwing hammers and they’re great. I hardly use them since I got out of the construction trade but I still have them. My dad has been doing construction 30 or so years, that’s all he uses. Even the handles are bulletproof!
