Once our house is done in April, early May, I’ll have some new waters to explore. One is 184 acres and pretty shallow but I’ve heard has decent bass in it.
The lakes/lakes I’m really looking forward to exploring is 416 acres and has a second lake that’s approx 30 acres, and a third that is 50 acres all chained together. As a kid we had a cottage on the 50 acre lake, but that was probably 28 years ago. The chain lakes have bass, walleye, tiger Muskey, pike, and the usual panfish. My stepdad said there’s smallmouth but are few and far between. What I’m looking forward is all the structure on the lake. I’m getting away from the typical soup bowl lakes.
As far as lures, I started using lipless cranks a little more last year with good success so I’ve added a few more to the arsenal. I didn’t get into the jerkbait like I had wanted to so I’m going to focus on that as well.
