  1. That 3/8 ounce weight is probably part of the problem. A 7 inch worm does not really need a 3/8 ounce weight unless you are punching or channeling your inner Ish. But if u are catching fish so be it. My lures don’t always have the smoothest entry into the water but I do alright.
  2. I was using spinning gear. The fish was pulling drag but it def wasn’t loose so maybe I can loosen it up more. I didn’t boat flip it and I did a reel set, when I swing I usually pull the bait out of the fish’s mouth.
  3. I hooked into a 3.7 pounder while drop shotting and it bent my light wire hook. I was using a roboworm rebarb hook in 1/0. My main line was 15# braid with a 10# flouro so I’m not sure if the line contributed or if it is just common for light wire hooks to bend on a decent fish. Would switching to medium wire hinder the action of the bait or would it work just as well? I hate re-tying contantly and was also wondering if there are any similar straight shank light wire hooks with keepers that have great strength.

  5. There were some on beds at Morse on Saturday.
  6. Is that rod by any chance a 7’4” St Croix Avid X?
  7. I got one ugly stick, one pack of Trilene 100%, and one revo. Doesn’t really apply to me so much ?
  8. I will be fishing Morse on Saturday and wanted to know what baits you guys have had success With fishing there. Any tips will help.
  9. Depends on the body of water and it must be cold water. Big bass get taste mushy so I prefer them right at the legal limit.
  10. I didn’t get any bites but I also didn’t have any dedicated time to try and repeatedly work on bed fish. Wasn’t the best time to be a co angler.
  11. I have only fished Brookville, Geist, and various ponds this year and haven’t had any topwater hits.
  12. Fished Geist yesterday and there were quite a few on beds.
  13. Fished Geist yesterday and there were quite a few on beds.
  14. C’mon man ???
  15. I agree totally. It’s possible in Indiana where I am but the chances are very small. Targeting big bass here would be a waste of time here, better off fishing your strengths and hopefully luck will be on your side. It’s usually someone with a bobber and worm that lucks up and catches an 8 pounder.
  16. I’m there with you, I just use 3/0
  17. Went to a pond today and the lady caught 3. It’s definately about to be love season for the bass. One of the fish expelled some eggs while I was taking it off the hook. Geist should be interesting this weekend.
  18. They are very durable as well. I’m very hard on them and they still are holding up.
  19. I use Cocoons, they allow people to wear their proscription eye wear underneath them. I don’t have vision problems but I have a huge head and they fit confortabley. Amber is the best color IMO.
  20. Never giving up, I just got in my feelings in a lil bit (happens to the best of us). That’s Kensington Farms in Lawrence area if that rings a bell.
  21. Fishing sucks bad in Indiana this year but I managed to have a good day at pond in my neighborhood on Saturday. I caught 4 with my biggest being 2.75 on a dropshot and the the rest were caught on chatterbaits. My buddy caught 3.5 pounder. Picture of the fish my buddy caught is below.
  22. What part of Indiana?
