  1. I usually don't see that hard a line for another month and use it to find flats or humps AR that depth. It helps me narrow down fishable water. .....that said, if I have been catch g fish at a spot 10 ft below that, I usually with try it and am sometimes surprised
  2. .......my scuba dive boots have also worked very well in these conditions. These days they have side zippers and are not expensive...... Thinner versions of these can also be found at surf shops.
  3. Lite wire for me, with a snap, or barrel swivel to keep the nose down a bit
  4. Kayakers and canoers use a bootie with felt bottoms that are made for walking over slippery rocks. I have used them for guiding and they work well. I think NRS made them but will look it up for your. Fly fisherman use similar booties
  5. Try fishing as a coangler with an experienced guy. You can learn a lot if you are open minded
  6. I would post what you are looking for in the classifieds.......often a lot of good deals...
  7. Cause getting up to pee a few times can add an hr or so. ?
  8. Gamma edge will often be thicker for the same Guage and that throws many off Compare line diameter, not stated strength for a true comparison
  9. I would gladly trade Summer for a longer Spring and Fall and sometimes it can be like that in NH. The carelessness and lack of responsibility of being a kid gave me more time on my hands that I probably should have had. That Summer job my dad made me get definitely changed that ?
  10. I was mostly a braid to leader guy and tried more FC than I care to think of.... Tatsu is king, InvisX is the queen, abraisx is the joker and Defier Armilo usually gets the call before the joker Edit..Gamma has an excellent FC and gets a lot of love on other boards. It's as expensive as Tatsu and acts like a combination of Tatsu and abraisx.
  11. Years ago I went the AK route specificly for a ammo. I was able to get cases from the Czech Republic, Russia, and Poland. I am good for several lifetimes. A 1200 round case was 125.00 +/-
  12. Still finding a lot of 2 box maximums, but the guys behind the counter as if I want to pick up boxes for my wife, kids, and brothers ???
  13. I have gone to the VMC NEKO hook and and reach for 1/0, but have not seen a decernable diffpin the 2/0, I do use 2 "0" rings crossed to keep the hook perpendicular open areas.
  14. All good info...... I actually like blue bird as it helps me narrow down the water I want to fish, especially in the Summer. My best fish have come on these days. The one thing I will add is that there is no excuse not to be aware of what is come. Weather apps have come a long way and enabling notifications can save your bacon. I have tied up to strangers docks on more than one ocwbefpre I learned my lesson?
  15. I am usually tossing it in front of the direction I am trolling and since it usually get hit on the Fall, I pick it up a few times. Long cast are out of the question on my lake.......snags will turn you off the technique
  16. I run mostly braid on my spinning gear. If I were using FC, I would loom to 3000 size for manageability
  17. I have learned a lot by watching Andy. Taking a knee to shrink the background and taking the pic from a lower angle produce great results. I hate long arms as we all know the deal. I also lime seeing the bait......
  18. Seams like a lot of threads are playing Easter games? ......if I could only use one JB it would be the 110
  19. The NEKO version is best, just wish it had a keeper. Now that I throw the bubba shot more, I usually just use a uni and pass
  20. You can't tell the cost of something until the accounting period is over. You then have to take other issues into consideration. I run size 31 tank AGM'S and expect to get 6 years out of them. I will look at LI next time around. I keep my boat on a slip. Use an MK alternator to charge the batteries after my cranker is recharged. Upon getting to the dock, I plug it in to a 2k inverter to keep it at 100%. For me the AGM 's were the best choice at the time. Who knows what my options will be in a few years
  21. You can find 2013-15 lund rebels in that size with 75 hp merc for under 20k I believe most were delivered with 24v TM and basic electronics at the helm.
  22. Same as smoking pot a month before the Olympics ????
  23. I like 300 size round reels for that application
  24. I have a few and love them all...they also go on sale a few times a year. I also have their finesse BC for my bubba shot
  25. Totally love my loomis DSR, but my alpha angler is not far behind. I have moved off my previous position that I need the softest tip as I am starting to throw heavier weights in heavier vegetation
