  1. When I throw the WP, I have a wackyrig on Dec for the times they swipe or miss it. I drop the rod and grab the wacky. Works 9 out of 10 times
  2. Like many other have said, Columbia gets the call a lot, But Orvis makes a very lightweight shirt-hoodie.....since I picked up a couple I stopped hearing neckies. They have a sale going now
  3. Yeah, that's on me...
  4. The motor and trailer may be worth that
  5. Jobes Creek Large SM at the drop-offs at the lighthouse in the middle of the lake, But it may be thought with a pontoon......wind is also an issue there
  6. Every guest I brought out with me this Summer got a weightless wacky senko on a spinning rod and caught more fish than I did. They work!
  7. Good point made by @OperationEagleif your not at a complete stop when putting it on spotlock,, the motor often over compensates. I eighter tap it in reverse to ensure no forward momentum or set the SL, wait till it almost wraps itself, release SL, then re-apply. Sounds like a pain in the butt, but isn't and works
  8. I have e6x's through the conquest. Save your pennies and reach for the the GLX. For some applications I like it better than the Conquest I am also reaching for the MBR over the JWR a lot!
  9. I am on Squam 5-6 days a week. The high pressure of the last couple days have slowed things down, but we have been averaging 10-12, 1.5-3.5 pounders with the exception of Wed. Poppers, jigs, Trig. Happy to chat if you pm me your cell
  10. Pretty much exactly as my friend from Maine. Physical limitations and also use Garmins Mine in on an impact 1775 and I run a 36v system. We also share the same issue on the wind less of days. I do use both the remote and foot pedals. The FP is for staring adjustments if I am working docks. Considering getting a second remind with all the functions less the store/deploy feature since I always deploy from my helm.
  11. Didn't fall for it this time ? First thing I do not is check the OP date.......?
  12. Ask away
  13. Says them man who has not had 2 wrist surgery's and rebuilt shoulder....
  14. Folks, This Summer my partner and I have caught some very dark SM amongst very light SM. As a whole, the lake is very clear, with the exceptions of a few areas that are effected more by weather. If environment effect color, does this mean that some of the bass more than others? We have noticed both a few dark among light and visa-versa. Thanks for your thoughts
  15. Offer to place an order for in on his behalf to TW for a starter kit. Or Tell him your placing an other and ask if he wants to piggyback one Or "your becoming a pain in the a**, hit Walmart on your way home"
  16. They will if your just trolling
  17. The beauty with a gun that size is that you have a ton of options. First you need to decide if you want pocket carry, IWB or OWB. I have a dozen holsters and the one I grab the most is the cheapest one...NRA, the next is OWB Remember, the belt is part of your gear. Definitely search for something beefy

  19. I think to argue over this is silly, and let's be honest.....all of this is about the $$$$$ at the top end. If you wanted to see who the better fisherman was, eliminate electronics and use public charts. On to your originally scheduled program.....
  20. The only way I can get away with a lean and real-estate is with a jerkbait. With the rat and WP, I use braid on a CB or top-rated rod. If memory serves me right, I think I went to bigger Garmmy's, 41's??? I will check. I use a sweep like I do my TRIG
  21. Cutting the shank and going through the gills can remove almost any hook. One of the biggest offenders of this are the young kids throwing plastics from bridges and shore.
  22. 2 thoughts Find the thermocline and match the bottom to that depth. Look for cover and laydowns in the AM shallow Popper, Jerks, Jigs,.....dropshot if all off fails
  23. Same hear, but hearing and feeling the water always made me pee my waders ?
  24. @Catt Bingo! Swings are free...... On a side note, when I am in those situations, I really focus on moving the bait with the rod and just reeling the slack. It helps me distinguish between something stopping my bait vs pulling or moving the bait.
