  1. I will try to find the article and not sure how relavant it is to the OP’s question, but my take away was that fish caught on plastics were likely to re-hit another plastic in about 20 minutes, whaile bass biting a hard bait can be shy for over a day. Will do some digging this afternoon
  2. Doubled uni with the tag end back through the loop at the hook, keeps it more weedless
  3. Dibs on the TransAm
  4. Advil helps, it works best if there is a trace already in your system. That said, it is worth seeing a physical or occupational theropist to get into a stretching routine. I have compression gloves I wear at night and it does help to eleviate some swelling.
  5. I believe the TM can follow the track, not the big motor
  6. Tim, I would stay in the MH range, not heavy......for more versatility
  7. I have one and tend to use it for my deeper divers. Good rod, glad I have it, but I like the Avid x a little more. The handle is a tad longer and cast slightly better
  8. No intention to make this AR vs AK I just understand the trials of being lefty and R eye dominant. .....that and anymore changes to the S&W will be expensive
  9. You definitely want the MBR. The JWR is good for what it is, but it tends to be a one trick pony. That said, I am liking my MBR for jig and worm purposes too. Think about it......while it is apples and oranges, the conquest is an MBR. My favorite GLX is an MBR... Easy decision based on what you described
  10. ......also being a lefty and aware of the limitations of the S&W, that's as far as I would go. Since I always have a cover, I have just gotten use to it. That said, all my AR's are history and AK has taken their place. Not nearly as good for distance, but serves my purpose. I doubt I will ever take a 100 yard shot again. If I have to reach out to touch something beyond that, I switch to a very sceary black rifle...
  11. Love fairs and rednecks! .......and drag my family with me.....
  12. No......the manufacturer says 16 with no mention of weight and chest size down to 30. Since I posted this we decided to go with a slender type III and be done with it. KISS!
  13. Can't speak to your school, but NH schools would not be inclined to purchase and upkeep a boat. Local high school clubs rely adults in the community or teachers I am sure more knowledgeable folk will chime in
  14. I am in the process of developing a Bass club at our school and the questions of PFD'S came up. NH law states that those 12 and under must wear PFD's. As a school, we will require PFD'S 100% of the time. Auto-inflate's are recommended for those 16 and over. What am I missing.......is there a downside to a 15 year old wearing an auto- inflatable? I hope @A-Jay can share his input. Thanks Al

    Poppers

The beauty of the pop max is that you can fish it so many ways I don't use to many one trick pony's
  16. Use sales to replace the baits you burn through most, but sales are very predictable. Heck there is going to be at least 6 major ones before next spring
  17. You have good taste. ?
  18. 50 lb mono through the bait and eye is by far the easiest
  19. It’s crazy how much he wants to hang on the boat....
  20. That’s what we call the Newburyport Hayride!
  21. Arkie and grass tend to get the call for me. I have consciously decided to simplify my baits. If I am in a place there hang-ups are unavoidable, the Fat Ika gets the call

    Mag Pouch

The holster depends on season and dress. After researching FBI stats, the chances of needing a spare mag is so small, I don’t in the Summer but compensate with a longer mag chambered. Heck, almost all police involved shootings next involved a second mag
  23. In the Fall, flatsides will usually out perform jerks, but can be thrown from the same setup if nessessary
