  1. I always tip. Sometime more than normal for exceptionable service, or if I get the feeling he really needs it. I fully understand it is not required, but it makes ME feel better. It drives my wife and kids crazy, but for me it is paying it forward.
  2. I re-fell-in-love with them last year with great success, but dig get snagged often. Got very similar luck with the hula grub and it was a bit more user friendly.....at least where I fish
  3. Tatsu is very hard to beat and I tend to like it best around 12 lbs. watch for sales.....last year there was a 50% off when buying 4 spools
  4. Re-reading this thread is timely and motivational as it’s been a while since I have had joints that work most of the time and a heart that now can support the work. Dropping 25 lbs since October has been a good start but it is time to start adding weight training. Body weight training for the next few months....then high rep low weight. Hoping to be back to “fit” by September
  5. 100 feet of 2 foot chop can make you invisible.....the bass boat, not so much....you actually think you present the same siluete sitting in a kayak as does a person sitting in a bass boat, come on!
  6. As a boater, I wish all kayakers had both. The sooner I see them, the earlier I can avoid them. I have seen guys fasten a small blinking led that also helps
  7. Water, coffee (hot or iced), cheeseN crackers, nutribars. Eat before you get hungry Drink before you get thursty .........and sometimes Blantons and a cigar to end the day
  8. Loomis.....and look at Alphas!

  11. 95%of the fish I catch are SM and seldom over 20 feet......with the exception of rats and such, few over 1/2 ounce.
  12. Only replace the working 75 yards of the working end on all my reels
  13. When I first started fishing at night, I realized how much of a sight fisherman I was....The more I did it, the better my daytime skills improved. While I tend to throw similar bait, I reserve treble hooks for the surface. I only keep 2 or three setups on the deck. Tend to stay in spotsmlomger and don't make long runs. A couple years ago I can close to running over a midnight swimmer and I was just above headway speed.
  14. This may be a tough sell, but nothing sells weapons faster than politicians talking about restricting them.......Give it a few months and the HORs may help in that regard ?
  15. My grandons are still a bit young, but last summer I put shines in one live well and gave him an aquarium net. He spent hours transferring them to the other well and back. It's another form of play until the bug hits.
  16. If you want to put the fishing bug in a kids head, bring him out at the spawn. He will be a fisherman for life and releasing the fish has no ill effects on the fishery
  17. Wind and fog are your friend. The lake I fish the most historically opens around 4/1, give or take..
  18. Jerks, CB, hair jigs, spinners......usually in that order
  19. After having both shoulders rebuilt, I keep my pulling to a minimum ?
  20. I am really surprised to see how many wear crocs. Many employers don't allow them in the workplace because workmans comp won't cover a slip and fall if worn. Very slippery compared to others in that class
  21. Orthoheal flip flops when it's warm. Arch support makes my back feel better ?
  22. If fishing for money, blend in, If not, be visable..... I know many that split the difference and wear neutral colors
  23. I did it for a year and it is OK The biggest problem in wind and navigating in shallows. I have see them with talons and bow TM that help tremendously! The big positive is that 4 can fish easily and it's a solid platform you younger kids
  24. I was talking about navigating a TM in the wind
