  1. They are different and I don't think holding either gives you the true feel. It's only when you fish them, can you tell. I have small hands and I like both. I have my conquests paired with Met MGL and Met DC and the totality is awesome. I also didn't experience the discomfort that some do with the GLX.
  2. Conquest is the king of the hill, at least in my opinion. Never paid close to sticker! Truth be told, I also prefer the GLX MBR over the other rods you mentioned
  3. Howdy Folks, I am finally giving in to my wife's wishes and going to start to wear sun protection for the paws. ......so, whatcha all wearing? Thanks in advance,Al
  4. Folks, First things first, if it wasn't for Tatsu I would not use straight FC. That said, I was gifted some Raptor 10lb and was throughly impressed. I feel it was in the middle of Sniper and Tatsu. While I have only used it for moving baits, I was impressed with its manageability, strength and knot strength. Still used L+L, but am likely to buy some 16lb and see if it is as good. Just one guys opinion.

  6. Fun years! Daughter's in Bali and decided to take up scuba. .......and no, she doesn't get my UDT watch ?
  7. Got shut out for the first time this Spring on Squam today. Been averaging a couple a day. 15 feet of water, 48 degrees
  8. I like 8's for jerks, since most of the work is done with the rod.......picking up slack and timing is easier with an 8/1 for me
  9. With a very late ice-out and water Temps below 50, I feel lucky to average 2 good fish a day. Lip less and jerks bringing my only success. .....it is still better than being snowbound.
  10. I may be precondition Ed but firth thing in the AM, I always throw a rat or pop-max.
  11. If you like braid, Power Pro at wally world is tough to beat
  12. Armilo or Senshi are the 2 I use for that very reason
  13. Great point, thanks. Never considered it was for the #'s.
  14. I have been watching a lot more FLW this Spring and I am noticing a lot more guys pulling out their spinning rods sooner and a lot more on deck. Is it just coincidence? Are conditions dictating it? Just wondering if anyone else has picked up on it.
  15. I use 10 and occasionally use a 6lb leader, but mostly no leader
  16. ......and don't forget juice boxes, golden fish, lolly-pops,and a few hand toys to play in the sand.
  17. ^^^^^sums it up right there!
  18. Yesterday NHFG officer confirmed LLS
  19. Another view

    Ruger Security-9

Hope to shoot one next week. Price is appealing when compared to the glock 19
  22. Great looking fish! Thought it would be early for big bait, but I am clearly wrong. Never thought of it as a bait that would work in 48 degree water
  23. If spooled properly, the only way to get rid of twist is letting it out while trolling with no lure attached. Close the bail by hand Look at going braid to leader, or braid only.
  24. At night I keep 3 rods on deck. 2 top waters and 1 jig. Top water bring better than average size and more numbers. Bottom brings the moms
  25. ^^^^This. I am getting back at all the nuns that tied my left hand behind my back and hit me with rulers......yup, #menholdgrudgestoo. ?
