  1. Two words....”Ned Rig”! JK ??????????
  2. A timely post ! .....great info A couple other things....staying with your kayak is usually the best thing you can do and practice getting back in. There are several videos on this. If separated, you go into survival mode, not swimming mode. Dump your shoes. Your pants can be used as a PFD ( see YouTube) If you struggle on your back, roll to your face, roll your back with face in the water, hands on the surface. When a breath is needed slowly sweep your hands down slow and raise your face. You can survive hours if you stay calm. on a side note, I know guys that tether themselves to the seat of the kayak with 6 feet of cord to avoid separation
  3. Wrap it with heat shrink tape
  4. The Ima Stick ruled the day with Fat Ika running a close second.
  5. Everything was on fire today. Fat Ika did most of the heavy lifting with a Ned getting top honors
  6. Just a matter of time before all online shopping is taxed as if you were in a brick and mortar in your own state
  7. The quality of the hooks along with paint, price and action, make if one of the first reach for. A little nail polish makes colors last longer if you care
  8. You can definitely run straight braid if you wish. for connection knots I tie. PR if I am on the dock, FG in rough conditions. No problems with either going through micros
  9. @Mike L, I think his concern was “super line hook”, which usually requires a stronger hook-set. OP correct me if I am wrong
  10. Depends what you are running for line and bait. I have used 10lb braid on a spinning set up and been fine.
  11. Yup, and I live in central NH “live free or die” keep in mind, that it is still a stated right, not Feds. The way feds have manipulated the States is usually by withholding some type of fund. That got the drinking age to 21 based on withholding highway funds
  12. Seatbelt laws differ from state to state. It's a states right issue. I believe all require them for kids below a certain age, many don't require them for adults..This is the same for helmets.
  13. Absolutely! I use Gammy and Owner's.....and avoid using EWG if possible
  14. .....see you at Hart's ( Their koto) Cafe Monte Alto is where I have my morning coffee and is only 2 miles from me and a great little Shop connected to a town store that sits above a great sandwich shop call Biedermans. There has to be at least a dozen DD's within 40 minutes. Give a yell if you want to fish Squam..
  15. At that price, used top shelf Shimano's become available..Cronarch MGL and Met MGL would be on my short list. I love my Bantam, but it shines with heavier presentations.
  16. I am all for boater safety and it hurts to see this happen, especially in my back yard. That said, I don't think it's the governments role to tell adults what they have to do. We don't require helmets when riding motorcycles ( over 18) and think this falls into the same category. We all assume responsibility for our decisions, I am not going to tell another man they have to wear a PFD in a kayak, if they don't thanks on a paddle board.
  17. I don't think they hurt. I often have reds on the front of JB and CB alone with white Flukes......Not changing...
  18. Make Benadryl part of you gear, even if it's a child's dose. Unless allergic, take at the first sign irritation.
  19. I believe the fed statute says that in the event of no state law, the federal law, is law. The wording allows for states to require as they see fit
  20. I am on Squam and spawn is just starting. I have been using Jerks Shallow to mid CB Senkos And some top water, the rat, WP or large popper. Feel free to PM if you want to chat
  21. The "rat" is one of my best producers..
