  1. This summer is getting better and better. I never thought in a million years that the Neco and Ned could produce like it has. Todays best was a 6.1 and 5.4 and a bunch of 3 lb SM
  2. Point and click is very cool and I could see myself using that a lot
  3. You did the right thing and even a loss of license is unlikely to stop most. That said, when I was younger a saw a similar sight with trout. The limit was 8, he had around 15. My uncle later told me, the guy needed to feed his family and not to judge. I doubt this was the case here, but the pic did bring back memories.
  4. I have been to Jamaica 9 times with the last being in April. We did some touring the first time and have stayed in and around the resorts since then. Look I to the MoBay club if your going to be in the airport for any given time. Limit how many credit cards you bring and USD go a long way. Feel free to PM me if you have specific questions......Relax, it is a great place to vacation....and congrats on the wedding
  5. Fish don't know how big they are ?
  6. Use what your comfortable....your cadence and body will adapt I use 6's for deep diving CB and 8's for everything else. Truth be told, I only use the reel to move bait on CB and larger SB. Everything else is moved by rod, so having speed is like horsepower,,,,,never to much, except sometimes???
  7. To date, I have probably thrown a dropshot a handful of times. Last week I fished with a gent who uses it almost half the time, which peaked my interest. I thought, NECO, NED and Tokyo had that covered, but am wrong. I think I have read every thread on the topic and it doesn't sound like my MB Aderminine may be a bit light. That said, I am on a lake that seldom produces bigger than 6lbs. I am becoming an Alpha fan and thinking their DSR, but little is written on it. To the guys that use this technique a lot, any input on rod would be appreciated. Thanks you
  8. Best day of Summer fishing so far. 4 for 14.2lbs
  9. Craw is the chow for bass in this area. In addition to the normal TRIG and Wacky and Neco and Ned.....jigs and chatterbait should have a place in the plano. Since you will be shallow a rat, WP, or popper would start most of my mornings. Good luck and I am sure one of our friends in ME will chime in
  10. Alpha DSR if your primarily dropshotting
  11. I have the FMJ and there are far better rods for the $$$$. Not as sensitive as the GLX and heavy in hand. For the weight you mentioned, look elsewhere. I use mine for deep jigs/crawls and will likely sell soon.
  12. If a guy walks in to get a room for the night and gives the owner 100.00 and asked to look at the room before he decides to take it. Then the inn keeper takes the 100.00 and walks across the street to the bar and pays his 100.00 tab....The the bartender pays his hooked the 100.00 that he owns her.....then she walks across the street to pay the inn keeper for what she owes for the previous night......then the original guy returns and decides not to take the room and gets his money back. How did all the debt get canceled and no body lost $$$$'
  13. Second day in a row..... 5 hours on the lake with limited success, last cast of the day with a ned from the dock, 4.1 Heck, I am doing better from land ?
  14. Why is rope, rope And When you put it in a boat it becomes line
  15. This one fish near my dock really likes purple rats?
  16. Columbia blood and guts Mountain khakis equatorials
  17. There are a few other coolers that perform as good at half the price..Rtic to name just one. Most of the guys that I know with yeti's have gotten them as pro-deals or special pricing. The knock-offs are getting better because patent protection fades
  18. ^ lower your gain and set the bottom manually. I see a lot of that in full auto mode
  19. Awesome! My wife will occasionally drop a line but I have almost given up on it.......and now that the grandkids are older, it's a loosing battle.
  20. If a narcotic passes the expiration date, how much bourbon do you need to wash it down with to bring it back to 100%
  21. I am in the same boat today. Had 3 breakoffs, but mid line, not at knots. It was 10 lb Tatsu on a light caster with NECO rig. Just spooled it last night. ?
  22. The conquest 100 actually feels better in had that my Mets and is far smaller than the 300.
  23. Don't be afraid to buy used. Have seen used cronarch MGL'S for just a few dollars more
  24. Am I responsible for the thought that doesn't occur? .....like doing the dishes?
