  1. They are very easy to cut down, but if your uncomfortable doing to, take it to a windshield repair place. It takes 15 minutes and they will likely charge you 25.00. I have cut at least 5 motorcycle windshields and looking above is preferred
  2. It’s hard to beat the Chronarch MGL and they can be had in your price range.
  3. It's all about personal preference. Most of my reels are 8.1. I find it easy to slow down and I am usually moving bats with the rod. I also find it easier to slow down with spinners as I get direct feedback. If I were you, I would be grabbing the 7.1, especially since your IPT will be reduced on long cast....Truth be told, my only slower reels are for deep crankbaits and large swimmers. That is just what I prefer.....No right or wrong with questions like this
  4. Dobyns all day long and double on Sunday?
  5. Guess I am going to be in the minority, but I think there are some premium bait that are worth the price of admission. The MB vision 110 and +1 have been tough to duplicate at a lower price as is the popmax. Clearly you don’t NEED them, but I want them ?
  6. 8 lb is my go to
  7. I have never used one of these https://www.dakine.com/en-us/bags/uscg-approved-waist-pack-pfd?source=search&utm_source=google_shopping&m=configurable_scp&gclid=Cj0KCQjwz8bsBRC6ARIsAEyNnvpnso2RC0vu-CO6OBw5nx1tGCKEz1Sm-mZu6jaxhhabtPe0VH3ByaMaAtpBEALw_wcB But know guys that do....just for fishing
  8. I find myself reaching for my mustang like A-Jay's ^, 99.9 % of the time
  9. 12#Tatsu is the most manageable FC, but there are more than just a few equally as sensitive.....shooter and sniper to name a couple
  10. I have both and tend to reach for the Vixen more often. It's a confidence thing
  11. Have fished both and own several conquest and if I had to use just one rod, it would be conquest. I love the mag taper and sensitivity is beyond great
  12. If I was hinting in your next of the woods, I would break out my 30-30. It is a great brush gun and don't see you taking a shot further than 100 yards.
  13. I have one on a frog rod and like it a lot, but go to MET MGL'S for everything else mostly because of weight
  14. If your having problems with the FG...... After you do you first 1/2 hitch, cut the leader, light a match and blow out the flame....touch the match to the leader creating a mushroom. Wet and pull. The mushroom will prevent further slipping. Finish with Rizzoto (sp).
  15. I like the 36's, but also like Gamakatsu Aaron Martens TGW Nano Finesse Treble Hook
  16. If you choose to use a smaller diameter leader and the FG is slipping, loo, at the PR.Its incredibly strong and smaller. That said, a Rizzoto (sp) finish on the FG helps
  17. If I am using a leader, it is never long enough to make it to the reel. I also use a PR or FG knot to pass through the guides easier. These days I don't use as much leader as I once did. Good luck
  18. Howdy, from your southern neighbor. "Live Free or Die" ?
  19. Great video and something I will do when mine wear out. For now I added teflon strips and it loads like butter?
  20. My ortho was referring to releaving inflation, not pain
  21. Now that it's just the Mrs and and me and nothing friendly for 1/2 mile, a buckshot is the first round with the sole purpose of shooting thru a wall. I then have #4.......Mrs Bull has #6 with a lighter load has takes a more defensive position in the event I am not home.
  22. The conquest 842 and 843 are my absolute favorite rods and are available for less than msrp...
  23. If you are looking at the E6X and that price point, I would look elsewhere. IMHO Loomis shines when you go above that level. The GLX MBR may be the most versatile rod for the $$$$.
  24. Similar situation here in NH and surface water Temps are now around 65. I believe length of day and amount of sun plays a more important part than cold Temps at night. Mid day fishing on points leading to back coves along with deeper channel currents as water level drops are my focus
  25. Mine is coming to an end in a week. Time to work for all the time I get to play ?
