  1. Buy a 2020 lund and don't look back.
  2. I am running size 31 tanks and most of the reviews have them lasting 6 years. I am in year 3 and have not seen a decline. Your 36 system will only be as good as its weaker link.....pay once, hurt once.
  3. It's sad to see how many don't understand the difference between Memorial Day, Veterans Day, and the 4th of July......
  4. Not a great shot, but my 4 yr old grandsons first “almost solo” fish. Think it meant more to me! Now if I could just get him to hold it?
  5. Since I went to the MBR flex, many more better size fish make it into the boat
  6. I am in central NH Jerks, Ned, Neco have out produced everything else. Surface water temp is now 57. Males are starting to stage up with ladies back a little deeper.
  7. I used one for 2 years and it worked fine for windless days. I don't miss setting the anchors
  8. A white and perch is all you "need"...... But my box is filled with more than a few "wants".
  9. If the reviews were better, I would be all over this. ......just for fun https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/catpage-ACCWEIGHT.html?from=basres
  10. The one thing I didn’t mention is that my son is a State Cop and was just a 2 minutes behind me and would have been to late if things went sideways. I believe prior military experience and having been in similar situations before gives you situational awareness and removes emotions from the situation. I also believe emotions get many in trouble in the first place
  11. A week ago I was involved in a case of road rage where an individual got out of his car and was coming at me as he was yelling that I should just drink bleach! The closing time of someone of 15 feet away is fast and had he had a visible weapon it would have been his last steps. When he saw me taking off my glasses and throw them in the shrubs, he thought twice and stopped. Nothing happened!.......but it does show you how quickly things can change. Truth be told, you best have the proper mindset and many of my acquaintances do not! For them an expandable wand would be better.... ps. I did report this to the police and come to find out, he is my new neighbor 2 houses down. It may be a little awkward at the block party this Summer
  12. I currently us an older 6'8" GLX MH MBR with Braid and it works for me.
  13. Hydrogen Peroxide is your friend!
  14. On my DS rod 10# braid to 8 # FC or mono
  15. Its been my experience that you get out what you put in. I learned a lot and met great guys and also met a few that I never want to see again. It's no different than any club. That said, my positive experiences are greater than the negatives. ......plus, what is the downside.....a few $$$$
  16. I would expand my search to central or northern NH. You will run out of money before great options..... but I am bias
  17. Repairing is cheap......You may want to buy a new one and have the old repaired for a backup
  18. I have a 1000 size ci4 for dropshoting and it is great because it is light, but does limit it uses to DS and Ned. I think 2500 is the most universal size
  19. can't fix stupid
  20. The one you can tie perfectly with a hangover. Uni to Uni on spinning gear. FG or PR for casting. ......keep in mind that this is a guy who cant tie a Palomar with out crossing the line
  21. For me it's always coffee, iced or hot.... Water and some type of protein bar is a must. I don't get hungry when fishing but am mindful of sugar swings. I work with kids and adults that have type 1 diabetes so I ALWAYS have some of their favorites. I have had people crach on white water kayak trips, football games and fishing trips. My go bag could feel a couple people for a couple days ?....Also have 2 epi pens for one student with airborne peanut allergies......Be Prepared!
  22. No disrespect intended...
  23. I use Gammy Short Shanks like many above...... and I am really liking these....think size 5, but need to check https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Gamakatsu_Aaron_Martens_TGW_Nano_Finesse_Treble_Hook/descpage-NFH.html
  24. .....I think this decision has more to do with experience and time on the water. When first getting back in the sport, I over thought everything (sometimes still do) but after putting your time in, your gut is your best guide and your mind becomes more quiet. No substitute for time on the water
