  1. I live 10 minutes from where I dock my boat and seldom use more than 4 gallons an outing, so no. That said with COL 8-10% higher this year, there may be coal under the Christmas tree.
  2. There is no downside to use a DC if you want to. truth be told they are great with those baits especially in the wind.
  3. Flank steak can still be had relatively cheap and can be prepared as good as a sirloin……just a little more work
  4. For me, the only benefit to a longer Ned rod is casting and truth be told I don’t like really long cast for that bait in my fishery unless I am going weedless.
  5. Not a fan of belly weights...my hookup ratio just sucks with them and they don't come through cover well.. IF you weight it and peg it with no luck, unpeg it. If still no luck, remove the weight. If still no luck, throw something else. : )
  6. Coin toss... Antares Conquest Calcutta 100
  7. A "twice through" the eye Uni has Never failed me. If it's not broke.......
  8. Trying to make up for lost time...... I the last 3 days got 4 SM over 4 lbs...all on a MB +1 in perch. Lost one that was over 5 when I OK ocked it off while netting him. I need some #A-Jay cams?
  9. The best handgun in the world is the one you are more likely to have on your person regardless of caliber
  10. Uni for spinning rod FG casting rod. Spend an hour perfecting the FG and it can be tied in 60 seconds. The PR knot is the thinnest and strongest knot in the planet and is also easy to tie if you use a bobbin For bass, 1/2 inch is all you need. Works great for microguides
  11. Spinning...braid to Flourocarbon and sometimes add a snap to keep the nose down. Often add a swivel a couple feet up the leader when I want to run it a little deeper. If really serious I add another longer leader to the swivel to run 2 Flukes.
  12. Good choice I have both and was going to say conquest as you were coming from an MBR flex If you coming from the Jig rod I would say NRX No wrong decision here...
  13. For me that would be an open water, light wire, jig rod
  14. Nice rig…… I would back it with braid, but that’s me…..I use Tatsu so no need to waste money on line that will never see the light of day
  15. Same here Good example why you should NEVER use a debit card And Have a separate card for with lower balance for online transactions or keep a separate card with no balance for the downtime when you have to shut one down.
  16. When I want to throw a Ned size bait in areas that will hang me up, I switch to the child rig which tend to get bigger fish

@A-Jay, what is you 7-6 ML? thanks
  20. I always have a wacky rig in deck. On many occasions after a short strike or miss, I drop the rod and pick up the wacky rod and cast to the same spot.....you would be surprised at how many times it works and seldom get lines wrapped. That said, if I have a partner he would real in the dropped rod
  21. Howdy With water surface temps temps just breaking 40 degrees, I am wondering who is throwing small hair jigs with success? I have yet to catch a fish in one and it hasn't made it into the early season rotation. Is it worth the commitment? Thanks, Al
  22. Lost a good friend in a very avoidable accident. His waders filled and didn't have his belt on https://www.wmur.com/article/monroe-new-hampshire-fisherman-identified-4822/39676808
  23. Rest easy my friend...
  24. That is the one knot I can't tie. I feel like a 4 year old wearing mittens. : )
