  1. Always yield to your Horoscope ?
  2. Got all but skunked today in central NH .......but tomorrow is another day?
  3. Rodney, like you know,,,,,The times of the year I throw JB the most is Spring and Fall which are the windy times of my season. I had an extra Met DC and tossed it on. It really shines in these conditions. The new Antares also really shined
  4. I am in the Ajay camp, and as time has not been kind to my body,,,,, weight, geometry, size, and comfort has to be factored. Rods and reels that fit my NEEDS tend to be more expensive. Threads like this remind me that Winter is on the way ?
  5. Love covers
  6. I will be going to creeks and streams feeding the main body of water.
  7. Count down is all I use....That said, If fish are suspending at 10 feet in 20 FOW, I try to move to 12 FOW.
  8. I throw JB’ with braid on a BC with 30#, very light drag .....in rocky areas, I add a leader for abrasion. and a Ronin spinning rod with 10# braid to leader
  9. Truly an inspiration. God bless
  10. I tie both the FG and Uni-Uni......One trick to the FG is to mushroom the Leader tag with a match or like. This knob will prevent a less than perfect knot to hold.
  11. Sorry, can’t help....I threw the kitchen sink and got skunked on Squam. ......at least I wasn’t the only one
  12. Rodney, I am still a DS novice, but the more I throw it, The more I question featherlight rods. The rig usually weighs more than a weightless wacky and I am usually throwing it deeper. My hooks are NEKO or 1/0 worm hooks......not quite a Bubba set-up. That said, not all mediums are the same. My Alpha is far stouter than most, . Next year I will have 2 or 3 setups that can be rigged for DS
  13. Knowing those rods and having loving my GLX 822dsr, I would go Medium. Truth be told, I may buy another.
  14. Get a conquest and call it a day. This fall you’ll be able to get one for 425.00 +/-
  15. For me, my deep spots that were working last month are not now. spending time looking for bait in similar spots back towards the coves have been more productive
  16. For me, the length of day matters more than the occasional warmup. The drought has also effected things too. While some are moving up, I think 15-20 feet is still where it is at. This weekend, I will go shallow early but will abandon it quickly no luck. On deck to start.....DS, JB, Popmax, NEKO.
  17. I just drink a lot of coffee. Pee over the side and dropshot. The caffeinated lake water attracts the an they almost jump in the boat. It's a win-win..:)
  18. The conquest 3 power fishes heavier than the NRX and can often be had for the same $$$$$...Just a thought
  19. Calcutta all day long and twice on Sunday. Calcutta Conquest and will it to your great grandchildren? Tranx is also a good option
  20. Best is relative you never hear anything bad about 832 except is fades a tad. Dont be afraid to look at Fins and Gamma. Since you can buy in bulk, cost can be considerably lower. my experience with smack down has been marginal and one of the few lines I have broken off
  21. If you throw a wacky deep, use a weighted hook or nail weight the tail (NEKO). Weightless it takes to long to get in the zone
  22. Mine is on a NRX 852c and conquest 842c and it is heaven. It does not feel as good on my 903.....I have a MET on that one
  23. I do like the idea of the 2000 size and a higher gear of the 3000
