  1. Neko Ned wacky DS SM SB
  2. When in doubt throw the wacky
  3. Fully agree,,, I started reading halfway through the thread….apologies
  4. Threads like this show up in all forums. Simply, “life is a choice” and there are “needs” and “wants” and they often change as we get older and our situations change. In my younger years, I chose cars, clothes, and expensive toys. Decades later, a good cigar, bourbon and yes higher end reels take their place. My reels don’t put more fish in the boat, but my experience is awesome. I hope some day my grandkids use my gear and enjoy them as much as I do. Buy what you want and don’t judge others decisions/ choices
  5. I am a hi-vis guy for DS, Ned, NEKO, When I was using it for jigs, I went dark colors….and I use my rod to move the bait, and slack in the line was a rarity.
  6. The National bill that is now likely to pass the House and Senate does not language about large capacity mags, AR’s, age…. looking at midterm projections, many states may reverse current restrictions.
  7. Sig, rest easy dear friend…..
  8. I am a guy who enjoys fishing at night but not a night fisherman. My night vision is easily lost so instruments can be an issue. I go out at dusk to acclimate and pick my preferred spots. Only 3 rods on deck..topwater, jig and Trig. Small light in the baseball cover Best nights are around the full moon.
  9. I drink coffee within minutes of getting out of bed and continue throughout the days and if it is hot on the boat I have iced coffee. When fishing I also have a bottle of water going and yes, I p*ss like a race horse. Nobody like me if I ain't sweating caffeine ?
  10. This product is huge in the "intermittent fasting" community. I use it to help reduce leg cramps!
  11. …..on a side note, freezing quart plastic containers and keeping them in a live well cools the water great in tournaments and you can also drink from them as they melt.
  12. If you are drinking when your thirsty, your to late. Proper hydration starts the night before and colored urine (not related to vitamins) means you need to drink more. That said, those that go through gallons of water can really tax your kidneys. For that reason drinking on the 1/2 hr while on the water will keep you probably hydrated ……additionally, covering your skin will also help with water retention and there are tons of option out there to help keep you cool
  13. If your loosing fish because of leverage, add a splitring or add a a short piece of braid between the bait and treble. .....also, if your burying your rod on when the fish is far away from the boat, you would be better served to keep it out of the water and sweep it to try and control the head when airborne. I do love acrobatics?
  14. If you use the tip of the boomerang for braid and the opposite end for everything else, they last for years
  15. This year I am 25 lbs lighter than this time last......still need to drop 20 more, but the increase of energy is noticeable. Was just told that they want to fuse my low back.....not going to happen but I am doing an hour of core a day......most noticeable is my casting engurance late in the day. Not sure where I am going with this but there is no substitute for a healthy weight and fitness
  16. It's been a year since I blew my quad off my knee and a few surgeries later I am finally back in the boat and mostly pain free and having the best pre-spawn ever.
  17. Calcutta conquest 100 or 200 all day long!
  18. I have had way to many unexplained breaks with smack down. 832 is perfectly acceptable. Hitena Pureline Is my favorite by far with a few Fins offerings in second place
  19. There are some coffee scales that are very accurate and won’t cost a kidney. I keep one on my boat and will take a pic tomorrow
  20. 1/0 and 2/0 depending on the bait
  21. I see a lot in central NH and the dealers can’t get enough of them. Everyone I talk to LOVE them..
  22. At 20ft, I use what ever I would use for DS as wind and current also factor in
  23. Very happy with mine but change the battery mid season
  24. Size 31 Tanks are hard to beat and are often on sale. I know guys with 7 years on theirs...I am going on year 5
  25. I am sure some of us can remember in 79 being able to fill your car every other day based on your license plate. Lucky for my family a couple gas stations opened for an hour or two at 1 AM to get what you needed, no questions asked. Luck for us a Cadillac could fit 5 gas cans in the trunk, dad made his living on the road?
