  1. Gotcha thanks
  2. Yes sir!! Silver buddy still works great you just have to pick your spots and reservoirs. Some of the tributary reservoirs on the Holston and clinch River are much deeper and have less current and therefore less logs. I have yet to catch much on deep jerk baits but I have some and will continue trying. I can usually do pretty well with the standard x rap but need to work on the deeper jerkbaits. I usually throw a drop shot over the side of the boat and just set that rod down and fish with another rod in winter. Usually can pick up a few extra bites that way, only problem is I tend to forget about it and run the line over with the trolling motor
  3. I can't do that!!! The world doesn't produce enough blade baits!! After watching your latest report video and seeing the sandy bottom I can see how you can get away with that. Too many rocks logs and wads of fishing line in he river here. If you let those blades hit the bottom down here, you're not getting them back to the top.
  4. Catch then fumble. Previous play is under further review. The was no indisputable video evidence, therefore the play stands as called on the field
  5. Nice fish!!! That looks like my kind of lake. Is it all spotted bass in there?
  6. I've seen a few sloughs freeze over, does that count? Haha. I'm hoping to be on the Tennessee river after work this afternoon, probably targeting crappie near the boat ramp though as I will only have about 1 hr before dark. We have a whole lot more current than we have had all summer here recently
  7. You can't go wrong drifting along the bank and throwing a Texas rig. Also when you find a good depth change perpendicular to the current, there will be bass above and below that area. Usually they will be above it when they are hungry and below it when resting. Same thing with cover along the shoreline, they hang out right above and below logs
  8. Gotcha. I have a few of those as well but I always seem to get the hooks tangled together or line wrapped around the front hook
  9. I think the bass sometimes forget to read the books written about bass hahahah
  10. Silver buddy is what I first started catching winter bass with also. I thought they were impossible when I was younger. Academy sports where I live has absolutely zero blade baits of any brand, what kind did you find there?
  11. Nice fish, thanks for the report and videos. I'm anxiously waiting for those conditions down this way. We are still in the transition phase and the fish are scattered everywhere. Winter time is the best time in my neck of the woods but it's only winter from mid feb to mid march haha
  12. I don't know, alligators taste pretty declicous. I support them eating anything with the exception of pets or people so I can, in turn, eat them hahahah
  13. Awesome day, I have been fishing for 30 yrs and have never put together a limit over 12-13 or so lbs. much less have any others to cull. And I live where bass get a lot bigger!!! After joining this website I've learned that all the good fishing is apparently way up north!!
  14. That's a big bass to boat flip on spinning gear! Then again I use cheap rods
  15. I was about to say I would much rather fish in the winter than I would in the spring fall or summer. Roadwarrior just gave an example why.
  16. Good luck, they are chomping on Norris. Lots of folks still getting them on top
  17. We have quit watching football in my fair state....... sad face......
  18. A little of topic but I cleaned and cooked a mullet once. It was bad. I feel like I had some at a restaurant once that were deep fried and pretty good. The one I caught was striped and nasty flavored
  19. Yea we are all good in Knoxville, prayers go out to the victims. Somehow last nights tornados put a lot of the fires out. check that, the news is now saying 8 new fires started overnight. It's currently pouring everywhere but still windy
  20. Every darn day I had the opportunity. Way too many to count
  21. Strike king bitsy tube and zoom fat Albert. 1/8 oz jig head for both. Cheap jighead because you will loose a lot. That is about all you will ever need
  22. Thanks! Here's another pic of it. I guess it was an old fish, tail was messed up too
  23. Only got a few fish today but one of them was a nice one, 20-20.5 inches but pretty skinny . caught it with a tube jig on Norris lake, water temp just below 62.
  24. Sweet screenshot
  25. Ever fish millers ferry?
