  1. Amber does work best for dusk but just the ash/smoke/black plain ones are decent at dusk and good all around
  2. Let's see if I can do the captions in order. Pic #1- sunset on the might Tennessee. Pic #2 - 6/0 saltwater hook in my face, my buddy is still apologizing. Pic #3- my fishing buddy from Memphis came to Knoxville for a smallmouth weekend. He set the hook on a carp and told me to get the net big smallie hahaha. Pic #4 - my second sturgeon pic # 5 - working in Carolina and an elk interrupted our lunch and chased me onto the top of the truck ladder rack, which is where I took the pic from. Pic #6 - fish fry on my annual fishing trip. Pic # 7 - sheepshead in ft Myers, Florida
  3. Hey @A-Jay, wonder if they could isolate the DNA of Michigan-strain SMB??? And stock them all over the world?? "Be a lot cooler if they did!"
  4. 14-15 lb absolutely are competitive but I can almost guarantee that was an F1 first generation hybrid. I was just saying that the pure Florida strain aren't as big here, F1 are always huge
  5. Congrats! Love that backreel
  6. Only a DNA test can determine Florida bass vs regular lmb. I thought all bass in California were Florida Strain. Definitely not smallmouth
  7. The biggest bass we have are F1 hybrids. They stock Florida strain every year and the native fish out breed/outcompete them. The first generation hybrid between the native bass x Florida strain are always the biggest. They took a whole bunch of the 8+ fish weighed in and like 99% of them were the first generation F1 hybrids. So here the true Florida strain fish aren't as big
  8. I've heard tale they are still biting on cherokee
  9. No clue, satellite innacuracy is my guess. sonar works tho! It might be in meters instead of feet or something. The lake is down about 6 ft below normal currently
  10. I'm associated with the SEC and I (respectfully) hate all the schools in the conference except my own. Every time a rival makes the playoffs it helps us absolutely none. Zero. Zilch. "Conference pride" is when fans of a crappy team want to latch on to a winning team. It's a sellout
  11. I still can't believe they drafted peterman! When he played at Tennessee he was worse than any high school qb I had ever seen. He threw a pass backwards with no pass rush. Literally backwards
  12. Give bass a rest???? I can't comprehend that. You'd have to strap me to a chair and sedate me
  13. Buzzbait. Worm is more effective but buzzbait strike is my fav
  14. Nice saugeye!!!!!
  15. Tennessee river ft loudoun lake
  16. Doggone!!! Good job keep givin' em h*%#!!!!!
  17. Second 7.43 of 2018????
  18. Since our lakes are all reservoirs they rarely if ever freeze in the main channel
  19. Hate you had bad luck but if that's the first skunk you can remember, you are doing something right! I can unfortunately clearly recall a few dozen skunks
  20. Ha! I wish he would train my dogs to stay in the fence! Mine dig out of a 6 ft fence. Big one digs the hole and little one slithers through it. The pack has strength in numbers.....
  21. I think biscuit could clear that fence with ease!
  22. Ha! I see what you did there........
  23. The good thing about Norris lake is it stays super clear from the middle to low end barring a 100 yr flood
  24. Only the worst in over a century! HAhahah
