  1. Finally getting some white bass, normal years I'm already sick of them by now
  2. Looks like a bunch of nice bass caught recently. I need to get to work!!!!
  3. She never even saw it coming!
  4. I noticed when I went to Michigan I stepped in water every 10 steps. I bet the umbrella salesmen make a killing!
  5. Not as many largemouth as usual but a whole bunch of nice 3-4 lb smallmouth. Thousands of white bass and a good many bluegill crappie and catfish. Boat loads of accidental drum and a dozen or so striped bass
  6. Your home lake is pretty awesome!
  7. Awesome fish! That water is gin clear compared to what we have right now
  8. Excellent catch! 26 lbs can sometimes land you in 15th place on chickamauga! But sometimes 15 lbs can win
  9. I rarely catch a 5 lb largemouth in any year, nice job
  10. Another vote for H2O express crankbaits. Most of them are $3 and catch fish. I troll them with the gas motor though
  11. This is one of my only strengths. It’s easier than you may think, especially on a reservoir. If you have sonar, idle the edge of the river channel and the graph won’t lie. When you see fish drop a spoon straight down on them and if they are active you will catch them. A small fluke on a round jig head is another good option for vertical fishing. If you don’t have sonar it’s trickier but can still be done.
  12. Good luck! Hope You get a 10 lber
  13. Well in some parts the river is so wide you can barely see the other side so its only dangerous near the dams. The current flowing through the lake is your best friend when bass fishing anywhere on the TVA system. What’s crazy is the TN river gets swallowed by two larger rivers just below Kentucky lake
  14. It's gushing! You can probably find videos online of the dams spilling high volume. It is dangerous, people drown every year. When it flooded last year two guys got sucked over Pickwick dam in a jon boat and drowned
  15. First place I learned the Carolina rig was on lake toho in Florida with 1 oz sinker in 4-5 ft of water. And it worked! Been slinging that ball and chain ever since, it doesn't have to be deep. You can retrieve the rig fairly quickly with the big sinker and still be kicking up dust
  16. For those who don't know about ky lake, it is the furthest lake downstream on the Tennessee river. From Pickwick lake downstream, the Tennessee river flows straight north. Take a look at the map @Catt posted, I bet most of you thought the water flowed from the top of the map to the bottom, but its the opposite. Just downstream of Kentucky dam the TN river enters the Ohio river near Paducah KY. The Cumberland river takes a similar path to the Ohio. The Ohio flows into the Mississippi in Cairo, not long after collecting the Cumberland and Tennessee river. To say it has good current would be an understatement right now, they were pushing 240,000 cubic feet per second earlier this week
  17. @Dorado, that last sentence is music to my ears! 99% of the grass in the TN river is 1 hr or more south of where I live
  18. I don’t throw anything at a bass on the bed. I’m sure I catch them sometimes off a bed but rarely see them on one. And if I do see them on a bed, I usually only cast at them once or twice if at all. I like fishing for the hungry ones
  19. Hahah! You could also ride a horse across the rio grande with that pistol
  20. Hmmm. I’m starting to see an issue. Does anyone fish these lures when there isn’t grass??? We don’t have much grass and what we do have won’t be around until August....... the only place I know with grass is in the Rapids in clear water
  21. I guess if they have a $50k + wakeboard boat, they probably have a quality wetsuit
  22. Just keep wrapping the thread!!! That should at least cover up the peeking through part. Dab o glue helps too
  23. That looks like a tricky place to fish, I always like to try the deepest places. “Post spawn” is a pretty broad time, if you mean immediately after spawn I might try right here around this choke point
  24. I always try to spend $0 because I have more than enough stuff. Usually end up spending $25 here and there
  25. Ha! And it was a lot better for skiing than Fishing
