  1. Only takes one to make your belly full..........
  2. I never carry a gun either but I sure would like to have one if I needed it .
  3. Thanks man! Right back at ya! Your 3.8 probably beat mine
  4. The smallmouth were chasing threadfin and I Got a nice one with topwater today !
  5. Where I'm at the river smallmouth are chasing threadfin shad on the surface right now and they do this time every year (current permitting) . Is there a dam on the river you are fishing?
  6. Oh we will be fine here, they are pros by now at preventing flooding. They are sending all that water to the gulf to make room for rain water . The TVA has all but eliminated flooding in the Tennessee river valley
  7. Sounds like you were on chickamauga! I get a kick out of it when people do that to me because I’m usually not getting any bites ! Ha
  8. I kind of think the top pic looks like a bait ball but weirdly elongated . The next several look really weird, like maybe prop wash. Mine will mark a prop wash when I goose it in reverse. The other guess I have is a submerged bridge or culvert
  9. I was wondering the same thing. I've fished a whole bunch my entire life and never caught upholstery, not even in the boats I was fishing from. There's a few things that can damage a boat tied up to my dock and a bass fisherman is not one of them. 99 percent of the damage I have incurred is from boat waves , mostly wakeboarders. Do I yell and scream obscenely at the wakeboarders? Heck no I adjust what I do to keep my boat from slamming the dock. People these days...........
  10. I will wait to post my feelings on this thread until after next weekend....... Tennessee got pretty close, 26 or 27 straight. 1984 to 2011 if memory serves
  11. I've never really watched much MLF, I like the biggest limit format much better. Even I can catch 12" bass. Sometimes.......
  12. I just keep fishing no matter what they say, I'm the one behaving legally. There's a law in Tennessee that prevents people from harassing fishermen and hunters. If the idiot homeowner gets mad enough to call the law, they will be the ones holding the citation. I'm also a dock owner. If someone's "dangerous sharp hooks" are left on my dock, I risk certain injury and disease and place the dangerous item into my tackle box. If y'all move on because of an idiot screaming at you, then you have basically convinced the idiot that their strategy is effective and are enabling them to treat other anglers the same way
  13. Awesome report and pics. I Too hate nymphing but they eat almost all nymphs so it’s necessary
  14. Congrats! I also had a memorable 4 / 15 smash a rattle trap years ago. Not as cool as one hitting topwater, but close!
  15. Can’t go wrong with senko either. I shove an 1/8 oz round ball jighead inside a 2.75 inch tube
  16. They will eAt under the ice so I would suggest Fishing right up until the river freezes. Tiny tube jigs on the bottom
  17. 2 of our 3 dogs are rescue dogs and the other was an oops baby mutt from a full bred Pyrenees. It’s crazy How much more time it takes to train the rescue dogs than the one we’ve had since she was a pup. I’m not a skilled dog trainer but it takes our rescue dogs forever to learn not to jump on people. They are very excitable..... @B-Dozer, that’s a good looking pack you have there! I’m glad yogi bear didn’t go to the pound and I bet the one in the middle is faaaaasssttt!
  18. Don’t forget the tubes!
  19. I wouldn't put it past him!!!
  20. Glad to live in East TN! We are almost void of natural disasters. Traditionally we had heavy flooding but TVA has eliminated that (for the time being). We did have wildlifes a couple years ago that claimed 14 lives. The only way to have a a wildfire in a tropical jungle (or the next closest thing) was a combination of hot dry conditions with strong winds, kids playing with matches, and a forestry policy where we don't manage at all, just let 80 years of slash and logs pile up and wait for a spark.
  21. Late summer early fall is the worst for bugs!
  22. When it’s all you’ve got, it can work
  23. Lots of bears showing up in towns this year, they always claim that’s a bad year for hard mast. I wonder if anyone asked the bear why he came to town
  24. I fished 68 degree Water Saturday and about 55 or so degree water on Monday in east TN! But we have some deep lakes with tall dams
