  1. I do better 99% of the time but the 1% can stay in the woods. Raccoon roundworm is not something you want to step in
  2. I’ve been using that tactic to no avail, I think I’ll just throw the buzz bait or a toad
  3. You are the perfect candidate for fly fishing for trout haha. I bet flies are still fully stocked!
  4. They clearly eat the small ones in my neck of the woods but not the big ones. And I only have 1 of them and it’s huge......This conclusion is based on massive amounts of research. My buddies throw the small ones and catch fish, the big ones have still never landed anything in a few years
  5. Following........ my fiancé has a wide kayak with a high seat.
  6. Knock on the door and ask if they’d rather have it in the flower beds or in the toilet ........ And flies....... I’ve never packed THAT and hope I never do. If mine is more harmful Than that from a beaver, raccoon, deer, possum, skunk, hog, otter, then oh well it’s staying right where I leave it
  7. Come on man....... you honestly are asking for advice on where to poop?? Haha. This is a daily dilemma for dogs.........I feel it is much more difficult to turn on a computer and log on to a forum and ask the question than to figure out where to use the bathroom..... hahah. But to answer the question, I hit the bank in times of emergency
  8. Minnow on a jig! Best of both worlds
  9. At least you have fish trying to eat the plopper........ mine goes completely ignored for months on end
  10. Clearly you’ve never tried catching bait. It’s quite challenging at times. I often opt to use artificial because it’s easier than catching bait. Catching hot dogs is reliable tho and you can eat them when the bite is slow
  11. Any evidence of shad flipping around on the banks there this morning?
  12. Plus cast net and hot dogs
  13. Nice ones @skekoam
  14. Those bast&@$s!!! Who do they think they are??? Hahaha
  15. I have two of those model depth finders. You have to be moving to get the fish arch. You probably aren’t going to clearly “mark” many fish in 5-6 feet of water with any unit (except side imaging), you just about have to bump them with your boat to do so
  16. I know a couple old timers that say tobacco and alcohol are far and away the most addictive things there are and they tried them all. Ironically they are both legal and widely distributed
  17. I want to go.......
  18. Anywhere in FLA, so many big green heavies. Or maybe a monster spotted bass in No cali
  19. You described my style perfectly! Probably because I don’t fish for money..... My buddies will Outfish me numbers wise with live bait floating river smallies but I will throw a top water midday and a lot of times get a big ole 20”+ golly whopper hit it so hard I get splashed on the strike Texas rig in deep brush?
  20. You are now the purple worm master and the learning curve was rapid!
  21. Thanks for that! Good read..... day 1 19 lbs gets you in 21st place??? Geez tough crowd!
  22. I use a 10' galvanized water pipe in my canoe and I can go for miles upstream through long swift shoals. Very loud and heavy though, its one hell of a workout haha. It has unlocked several areas I didn't think I could access without two vehicles and floating from point A to point B
  23. We are praying for y'all. Times are tough but not as tough as your old man. I dont much care for fishing alone either but sometimes it's necessary
