  1. Ah, the American dream! You would probably get shut down by the local govt or taxes and permits would outweigh your profits haha
  2. Two reasons: 1) it catches fish 2) it’s the color of a shad
  3. The possibilities are endless! French broad, Nolichucky, pigeon, little Tennessee, holston, little river, tellico, clinch, even abrams creek in the national park has smallies. And then there are all the lakes! Cherokee, tellico, Norris, Watauga, and south holston are all excellent smallmouth Fishing. Douglas fort Loudon and watts bar are also very good
  4. Fun day on the river with @Jermination. We caught lots of small fish and a few decent ones, water temp 73-75.
  5. Weightless finesse worm with some sparkles in it. Throw it out there, don’t move it AT ALL and watch your line
  6. I hate that stuff . We get it way down deep in the dead of winter on highland lakes. I set the hook every time thinking it’s mister big
  7. I don’t know exactly how long but they rust in my wet tackle box in 1.5-2 days
  8. Spoons and grubs
  9. The one I’ve got in my hand! They aren’t necessarily Easy to come by unless you want to buy a spro . Craft hair is ok but bucktail is best. I would just make my own
  10. Beat me to it. I break off lots of those, a thick fish hook will work in a pinch
  11. Well I don’t have a hobie but hopefully I can paddle around on the holston river Sunday. Also, I watch a lot of Kristine’s fishing videos on YouTube, she’s in the photo. She does pretty well on the kayak tournament trail
  12. I think I caught a glimpse of the leader Jamie Hartman throwing the ole ball and chain for smallmouth. Love it. A welcome change from watching Ito have his drag set to “bluegill” and fight them for 10 minutes a piece last week haha
  13. it doesn’t take a high tech unit, I’m pretty much the bottom of the barrel in depth finders and I can see a 1/16 oz jig on the screen
  14. How to fish ned deep? Wait longer for it to sink.......... it works “video game” fishing vertically With a 2d depth finder at any depth, some people catch them all the way to 80’ in winter here
  15. A lot of times they live on with the hook in them and in some cases pass it . If you’ve got them hooked deep in the goozle, sometimes it’s better to cut the line than to get the hook out. Being underwater the hook will rust away
  16. Smaller tube jigs always work way better than big ones in my area. Kind of led me to believe they eat small ones more often . If you are trying to catch crawdads, night time is always best . Washing camp dishes always brought thousands out of the wood work
  17. Haha! Bring it! Or leave it there and jump in my boat. Well I’m glad you value my opinion, I think it’s just you and three dogs in that club......... very exclusive
  18. One of your hunting buddies got you good!
  19. Oh, and if you are bank bound, fish below the dams. Let me see if I can find a link of when the elites fished there i think they took off from downtown Montgomery
  20. I’ve fished that river many times! I’ve dissected that map in my mind so much ....... when I saw it on the screen of my phone it almost scared me hahaha. @NavyVet1204, check out Dustin Connell on YouTube, he’s from a bit north of there but has plenty of videos on how to catch coosa river spots and largemouth. I camp on the Alabama river every year for a week on Memorial Day, have for about 22 years straight
  21. Good to hear you slayed em. White bass jumping is a little piece of euphoria. I have captured it on video several times
  22. Nice one! But it doesn’t count because you didn’t use a true ned head......
