I’ve put the rod in the back of my shirt to swim through long deep pools with both arms free. Also swam a long ways biting the rod blank. Neither are very comfy haha.

You have to walk in the water the whole time down here in the jungle. And sometimes swim

We had some friends hiking the smokies from the highest point in TN down to Fontana lake in NC. They needed a boat ride across the lake, said they would be at a certain spot at 4:30 (no cell service). Luckily the coordinates were spot on and we found the spot by maybe 2 pm and sure enough they emerged from the woods 26 miles and 2 days from where they started at 4:27. I also found a nice smallmouth or meanmouth, I dropped it in the lake while attempting weight and measurement. Seemed like a 19” fish. The water was super clear, my fiancé snorkeled around and spotted all kinds of fish

They are always jumping! Rocketing even haha

Catch mullets with cast net or snag them, they are mostly herbivorous I think. Good bait, tastes terribly unless prepared by the right person (not me )

Slow

Yea hopefully I can keep it away from everything this week. About an hour after I did that, we had a floor board popping up that I couldn’t get to lay right. My buddy says “it’s probably got a chunk of finger under it”
