  1. Round ones work well
  2. The Tennessee River flows south then north. They ALL go downhill
  3. You would be correct. They work well for people but it’s not very fun for me to throw that mess
  4. I have plenty of hand pour baits that float like a cork and are much cheaper than elaztech . I don’t think the standing up thing matters but that’s just me. I use ball head jigs and torn up worms from the floor of the boat and swim it along, looks like a minnow. I know I know, not a true ned but it looks just like one and is way cheaper. And just as effective from what I’ve seen
  5. Incredible smallmouth! I have 2 of them, still skunked so far.
  6. I tried it like a shakey, lose a whole bunch really quick (fast water with rock ledges and logs). Now I swim them with much better results
  7. I like physicians assistant Pacifico myself
  8. Couldn’t have said it better myself
  9. we are sending a lot of current down toward pickwick!
  10. I agree! #1) mining people’s fish photos for location data has to seriously mess up your fish karma #2) if that is someone’s strategy for finding good spots, that’s a person you don’t have to worry about catching “your fish” because they will forever be one step behind you
  11. Goodness gracious! Nice ones
  12. I ain’t skeerd
  13. That sounds pretty awesome!
  14. I love a minnow on a jig head. Why do it do it? Because it catches fish of all species very well
  15. That’s mostly true where I fish as well
  16. I can do snow but cold rain sucks
  17. You mean you don’t like fishing in the pouring rain when it’s 37 degrees ?? Yeah me neither
  18. Pickwick is wide gushing river at the upper end and basically an ocean with lots of sailboats on the lower end. It’s wild!
  19. Here’s the world record they killed right where I camp every year in Alabama. 15’9” and 1100+ lbs. Here’s a little baby 10-12 footer that didn’t even flinch when a plastic worm came across it’s nose. I have an old photo of a buzzbait sitting on a 13-14 footers head too that never moved. Where we fish, the little ones chase lures and the big ones could care less (the guy in the picture on the trolling motor is 6’10”) alligators are big and tough, but they got nothing on people in south Alabama. If they cause trouble, then end up on a plate. Paraphrasing from memory of the article, Mandy stokes shot the record gator in the middle of the night from a boat in a cypress slough. She hit it once with a 20 gauge and it took off like a rocket still tethered to the catch line and slammed their boat into a stump. Then she shot again and finished it off. I won’t even bass fish the area at night because of the bugs and they go lizard hunting in Jon boats
  20. Well your suffix siege is way cheaper than any Fluorocarbon so that kind of goes against your point there. Then again I’ve always used the cheapest gear possible and never had any complaints so I’m biased
  21. Good gracious man! Not even a log?
  22. Feb is a good fishing month in TN. It will be chilly most days but nothing compared to Minnesota
