  1. I was scrolling through YouTube videos and saw this today....... not a video just a picture between all the videos sadly
  2. Nice ones! I believe those are redear sunfish also known as shellcrackers
  3. You may also fish however you please but I will keep backreeling/thumb barring. Obviously I’ve tried using drag before.........
  4. I use backreel BECAUSE smallmouth are so fast, and I only use it on big ones not small ones.
  5. Lock the drag down and if they pull really hard, push the button and let him take some line
  6. I took the plastic off the middle section and here’s what I see. Where does the broken/burned wire connect to? I don’t see anywhere to replace it
  7. I would guess that’s because Wilson lake is so small and doesn’t have the water storage capacity of pickwick wheeler and guntersville . Thanks for the fishing tips! I’ve got a buddy in Florence and hopefully I will make it there this fall if I can get a boat running safely
  8. Batten down the hatches!!!!
  9. With “buttah”
  10. You will be case zero of fish herpes that sweeps the nation and then you will be covered in warts from holding frogs
  11. Transmittable to humans? Come on sam, don't go scaring people for no reason. If twra answers I will be shocked
  12. Thanks again, I've been having intermittent t and t issues and I think there's a thick wire going into the cowl that looks rough.
  13. Sounds complicated and expensive, I’d rather just paddle than purchase and think about all that (not that I could purchase it anyway) I have 3 wet batteries, one to crank and two to troll. I use a $20 battery charger, never had much problem. I’m trying to fish not run a space shuttle
  14. I’ve had 3 fires in my boat now, luckily all the size of a bic lighter flame. Last night it was in the parking lot thank goodness and it was this wire which I’m guessing is a ground. Everything seems to function normally still even though the wire burned in half..........
  15. Had a mutiny on board. Crew member was trying to steal my pasta. I took her picture in lieu of punishment, no wonder there was a mutiny
  16. Got skunked again after work yesterday, winter can’t come fast enough
  17. I don’t know how long they take to rust but minnows can escape and a water snake can get in there and eat some of the minnows. I’ve trapped many snakes in a minnow trap and the initial “oh €%#*” factor is pretty high on those scenarios .
  18. I would say a good bit of both. Seems like action is picking up as a tournament goes on, but that place is beyond pressured
  19. Yep. They won’t look at a food item and ponder whether or not it’s in season like a woman standing in the produce aisle. Fish don’t think, they kill and avoid being killed
  20. Well, the ones in the TN river get up to 15 lbs and the smallies get up to 10 lbs I caught a 4 lb smallie on a frog in milfoil with 65 braid the other day not far from my front door . The 2019 classic several 5 lb smallies were caught burning cranks in muddy water
  21. Well in Tennessee, if you’re targeting one you’re targeting the other. There’s literally nowhere that’s ONLY smallmouth. Sure you can go places where it’s mostly smallmouth, like near my house. But I still catch the occasional largemouth right amongst them. now I suppose you could target only largemouth but you would have to do it in a cow pond
  22. As a lifelong Braves hater, it just rips me up inside........ couldnt happen to a better franchise! Haha
  23. I heard a radio caller saying they made that same base running error to get eliminated in the 90s haha
  24. Even if the crawdads are burrowed into the mud, the one on your hook isn’t!
