  1. I went boat fishing in the snow once and had to dig two tire ruts in the snow with a boat paddle to get up the ramp. Unfortunately fishing in below freezing temps isn’t the safest idea in the world, I usually bank fish if it’s below 28 or so. I don’t much care for the idea of falling into the water in the dead of winter and sometimes outBoard issues arise when it’s that cold. The guides freezing still makes it a pain but it’s doable from the bank (and in some places you can build a fire) .
  2. Don’t kid yourself. There’s a reason everyone from up north fishes in Florida. I can fish in 100 degrees with 100 percent humidity much easier than I can -30 with the wind blowing. And I’m not alone!
  3. I agree. Water between 60 and 70 degrees is my least productive fishing, spring and fall year after year. I’d rather have it at 50 or 80 (47-49 is my favorite)
  4. Why are you always posing things that are sensible and logical???? The nerve........
  5. Let me guess, the member that was excommunicated was the deranged Charlie brewer disciple?
  6. @Sam will help
  7. But I can’t tell how long any of those 3 fish are? top one I would guess 19”, no clue on the bottom two
  8. getting there! Still just making sure everything fits. Here’s some before and after (or after and before the way I posted )
  9. I’m not in Canada they just had a bass master Elite on chickamauga, a grass lake in fall. Guess what the winner was throwing?
  10. 20 lb braid is some thin stuff. Ive snapped it a lot more than I have 8 lb mono
  11. Frog! People catch them in early December with frog in grass around here
  12. Cable steer, simple is bueno. Heck I even ran a hand steer with extension handle and big foot on/off switch on the deck. I swear I liked that better than anything, you see a lot of shallow water fisherman in Florida with the hand steer I always get a kick out of seeing every guy in local tournaments has to have power poles and spot lock yet none of them ever stop moving
  13. I’ll fish the big river in a canoe at night but I stay literally next to the bank where a boat would have to hit several lay downs before it hits me. I’m like you though, wouldn’t really recommend it to anyone unless they are a veteran waterdog
  14. No motor all you need is a signaling light
  15. Nice one
  16. None except hog
  17. Sounds like you just aren’t trying hard enough. I lost track of how many rods I broke in 5th grade
  18. North Dakota??? Can’t help ya there!
  19. I like the deep shadow rap best for about 10 feet. I have a smithwick rogue perfect 10 but I never throw them for some strange reason. I only think to use them when I’m at home? I wish I could fish a deep jerkbait all the time but there too many floating grass clumps zipping down the river to use one right now
  20. It’s 5 o’clock somewhere! Wait, it’s 5:35 somewhere anyway ........
  21. @NorcalBassin , does your family realize they eat 5 star bar b q on a very regular basis???? Your daughters are going to miss that badly when they go to college haha.
  22. Nice! Gotta love a shotgun
