That happens to me every year since like 1997 on my Alabama trip with spinnerbaits. 23 years later I still ain’t got it. I REALLY hate a spinnerbait. I could also throw a 5 or 6xd until rapture and never catch a fish, some things can’t be explained
Sassy shad or gulp minnow on 1/8 oz ball head. 6’6” $13 rod, $30 abu cardinal reel with 6 lb mono
This is about the only setup I use all winter every year with the exception of spoons and blade bait. I usually have a tube or marabou on instead of grub tho
I’ve tried diving down off my dock to save all the lures I’ve lost over the years. It’s too dark underwater to see anything and a hellacious pressure builds up inside my head over 6-8 feet down. So I’ve tried but to no avail. I found a ratchet strap and some sunglasses though
Went outside to check fishing conditions and there’s some snow on the ground. So I check the radar to find this..........
“hashtag insulated “ as the kids would say
I wash the dishes every night after she cooks haha. I can wash two sinks full of dishes before I could find the thyme in the spice cabinet (granted I would be looking directly at it yet still not finding it)
This entire craze has cracked me up from the very beginning, I’ve still never purchased a single “ned rig,” neither the plastics nor the jigheads. Most fishermen have to have the latest releases, plenty of weekenders running $3k depth finders
I’m sure you’ve probably already done this but here they are. Dayton is fairly close to sale creek, good little ways from chester frost/Dallas bay (Chester frost is directly across the river from Harrison bay state park) . I would guess Dayton to sale creek would be 15 minutes or less and Dayton to CF might be more like 30+ minutes. If the wind is blowing it will suck bad. Also if you run the lake any distance in winter, it’s very easy to run aground
