  1. I don’t know, I’m not terribly observant..... haha. I’ve heard they use VMC hooks. They have a million different lures so I’d say they come with all manner of hook sizes on them
  2. Getting treble hook lures stuck on the bottom also breaks my heart. If there’s an academy sports near you, get some H20 express hard baits with trebles, they are affordable and effective. About the only treble lure I throw when bank fishing is a floating jerkbait
  3. I will at least make my work route go near the water a few times! Haha. I’m Having some truck problems, we will have to see how that goes. I’m off Saturday and Sunday, I learned in 2019 that all I can do from the water is park strategically off to the side of the channel and watch them drive by, no hopes of following
  4. We had a good bit of snow on Christmas but completely missed the last round. We’ve had a decent amount of snows for the winter but not super cold temps. I live in East TN near the smokies
  5. Caught some white bass today and two pros zipped by
  6. Got 4-5 of these after work. And watched two pros drive by (practice days)
  7. Yeah I’m guessing some highland reservoirs we have might be like smith moutain lake. They move but at a snails pace. The current effects the bite more than the paddle . I’ve got several friends always trying to drag me to those boundary waters
  8. I use danforth style in my jon boat, although sometimes I anchor in swift water and desperately need it to grab something. I’ve had 50 feet of rope out in shin deep water and couldn’t stop many times. Danforth grabs the best but sometimes you have to get into the water to get it back. Or just leave it there and tell your salvage expert buddies where it’s at. My friend Craig has probably a dozen anchors and has never purchased one haha.
  9. What is the “currentless water” you speak of? I don’t think I’ve ever paddled it haha the closest I’ve ever come to currentless would have to be in Michigan I guess but there was a river coming into and going out of the lake .
  10. Ironically we’ve had a very mild winter while the rest of the country has been cold. We get strange weather, had more snow than normal but never got much below 20 degrees . Usually we have some single digits and occasionally 0
  11. Hahaha that’s a good one! My favorite was not a tornado but a large chuck of the mountain fell onto highway 129 back in 2009 or so. Cops and tv cameras everywhere and this guy ramps a sedan into the pile of rocks!!!! Said he didn’t notice the mountain was laying in the road and the guy was stone cold sober . I grew up not 6-8 miles from this spot
  12. I noticed that when I uploaded my last video or two . I wasn’t sure what they were asking me, I didn’t “make” the video for kids, which is what it asked. It’s Not exactly a clear line of questioning that they ask the person posting the video
  13. Zaldain caught the biggest bag of the tourney here in 2019 at 21 lbs with a big swimbait on day 2. Unfortunately that success caused him to “lock it” into his hand on the final day where he got next to nothing
  14. Cherry is also dangerous with the jerk plug, which will be a player
  15. I get giddy when they come to town. Lots of guys can’t stand big tournaments on their home waters. Heck some of my buddies get mad when they see other boats near places I have showed them like they own the place haha
  16. Here’s your current water color, pretty “clear” for this time of year despite a doozy storm this morning
  17. I’ve seen several wrapped trucks in parking lots along my work route today and one blue boat fishing the bluffs along the pellissippi parkway bridge (interstate 140). I cross that bridge twice a day and haven’t seen anyone fishing anywhere near there since probably October It’s the same water they had the classic on in 2019. River and lake are one and the same here. I was slightly surprised last time they came that nobody went upstream of downtown but that’s why they are the elites and I’m setting squirrel traps
  18. We typically float downstream point a to point b so sometimes 12-15 miles. Usually 7-10 makes a nice full day . Sometimes the water is so fast you can do 10 miles in 3-4 hours
  19. Fort loudoun/tellico lakes, also known as Tennessee river (although tellico is comprised of the little Tennessee river and the tellico river)
  20. Unfortunately I’ve been on National TV a time or two and never made anyone proud hahaha. No matter how hard you try, you end up sounding like a tornado victim being interviewed in the trailer park after your house blew away hahahahaha
  21. We avoided most the winter weather that hit the rest of the southeast. The water won’t be quite as fast as it was during the 2019 classic but it’s rolling, flood gates have been open for the last couple days. I believe she was flowing 60,000 every single day during the classic in 2019(although the announcers talked about the current “changing” everyday and it didn’t change a drop). Right now it’s flowing at 45,000 and should stay pretty close to that for the tournament . Last time It was a crankbait fest with lots of nice fish caught, I’m guessing it will be similar but the water should be clearer, maybe some more soft plastics will come into play. im pumped, who do y’all think will win? Walters and hackney are hard to bet against
  22. In the top picture of the largemouth it’s tail is curved in. Makes them look short everytime congrats to zark on an insanely giant fish
  23. Sure feels like it, semi warm rain with high winds. Even smells like spring thunderstorm
  24. At first glance I thought you bought chocolate candy fish
