  1. I ain’t got that much torque, But I do keep a chunk of 2x4 that use as a transom saver haha My Prop nut can easily be removed without a block, I guess because it’s only 50 hp
  2. Crank baits and jerk baits will swell up and explode in there , I have a carport nowadays but I haven’t always and my hard baits used to explode out in the driveway at my old place

Ha! Never thought about that part. I would be a comedy act trying to pull that off and end up singing like a bird (like Carlton trying to pull one over on uncle Phil on fresh prince)
  4. Thanks for the review, do you like the scum frog rat?
  5. I’ve never had a bottle of super glue that lasted more than a single use, one of my least favorite products in the history of capitalism Suffice to say, I don’t use that stuff for anything, definitely not fishing
  6. I hate watching a bobber with a passion. Inevitably something will pull it under and I miss the fish. Take the bobber off and the fish is as good as hooked, darndest thing I’ve ever seen
  7. Well you better go dunk them in the water and see what happens !
  8. +1, I don’t think I could handle that plus all the other stuff falling apart that wasn’t recalled
  9. If I could have back all the money I’ve wasted on ice cream and give it to the bait monkey........ I’d have a lot more plastic worms I hope my fiancé never reads this thread or she will want to try all the ones she’s never had
  10. So you’ve got a magic fishing lure that you haven’t used in a year?? I can cast them out for ya and report back.....
  11. Best soft plastic craw? Strike king bitsy tube. Not a craw by definition but they bass sure think it’s a craw

  13. You probably catch more and bigger fish than me , I just don’t really care about weather because it’s going to do whatever it wants. And so will the fish. I just want to be there with a chance to catch them as much as possible. We as humans have a way of convincing ourselves that we are correct when really we don’t know jack
  14. I’m just going fishing if possible regardless, I’ve never been much of a thinker haha. Every time I have some thought about “fish should be eating this or that because the weather is this or that” it turns out to be absolutely completely wrong almost every time. So I keep bibs and a rain jacket in the boat and say forget about the weather
  15. I never look at weather forecasts because they are not only erroneous but totally useless to me
  16. Yea it’s fun! The pigeon river has been polluted by a paper mill in canton North Carolina for about a century now. It’s finally healthy now for the first time in a long time and guess what........ the paper mill is looking to amp up production and most likely amp up pollution. Many have drawn a connection between the poor economic conditions in Newport and the direct water pollution coming from NC
  17. It always seems like a great idea until you do it. I’ve basically caught nothing in 3 decades of attempting
  18. The meanest of game fish (bowfin is even meaner)
  19. The carp were cruising around eating brood x cicadas so she got to battle one on the fly rod. 10.5 lbs ~28”
  20. My fiance got her first ever carp on the fly rod yesterday, glad we decided to boat on memorial day. They were cruising around eating the brood x cicadas. 10.5 lbs and about 28 inches
  21. Absolutely
  22. The pigeon is a fun float! Nice pics
  23. Not really, although most people will claim they do. Moles find food by sensing movement/vibration with their whiskers so I’m not sure why they would eat a stationary chunk of poison. They also sell snake and other critters repellents that flat don’t work, but boy do they sell
  24. First picture looks like a single fish 13 feet down and maybe a few more hugging bottom. second pic looks like a fish bonanza, needing a spoon dropped into
