  1. Sounds like you just encountered a person having a bad day. If you tie off out to the end of that dock, there is still plenty of room for both lanes to launch
  2. Nice! Those type boats are easy to load/unload and move quickly. Also they sit down low to the water away from the wind
  3. Yeah I’m hoping vandy goes down tomorrow or whenever they play. When it comes to Miss st, I won’t root against them, just watch and enjoy regardless of outcome . I guess I’m a Wolfpack fan for the rest of it!
  4. A great season for us unfortunately ends, texas hitting that 3 run homer ended up being the difference. We also couldn’t figure out that reliever, he had some good stuff
  5. Look who snuck into my groundhog trap
  6. Half private half public, boiling hot water, wild storms, would you say this is the weirdest lake in America?
  7. This guy was ruled safe after video review........ yet another example of the utter uselessness of instant replay for umpires/refs in any sport
  8. Because the predator can see the lure/prey better is my guess
  9. Can’t help but notice nobody is in it......... You might wanna have that looked at
  10. I was about to post that we all know timing is important but no one has said anything about when the important times are until you posted
  11. Sorry I’m just now seeing this. Soddy Daisy is way up stream from Dallas Bay, Dallas bay is where Chester Frost park is. I attended the bachelor party where we rented a house in Dallas Bay a few years ago and we caught decent bass and a lot of catfish and gar with jug lines. The back of that bay will be mostly all vegetation, I just used weightless worms on the edges of the grass. It’s not too far of a paddle out to the main river but there will be cabin cruisers and house boats and all that jazz but you can still fish the main channel
  12. I wouldn’t worry about flimsy for a transducer mount, you will want a little give (a lot of them are designed to fold up when they hit something). If it’s mounted solidly, it can be more easily destroyed when you hit the bottom or a log
  13. Holy cow that’s some hot water! Nice work putting some fish in the kayak
  14. Bryson city? Fish Fontana! I camped there this weekend, they only wanted poppers. Chickamauga is a zoo
  15. I really can’t use a snaggy bait, I come from the land of logs and rocks
  16. Nice!!! I always support anyone beating vandy in anything
  17. Vols opened with a goose egg, they forgot to pack the bats onto the bus!
  18. I was told to crimp then solder then shrink wrap my boat connections by an auto mechanic buddy of mine. He said it will always be exposed to the elements so corrosion is inevitable
  19. Holy crap man!
  20. Well said. This has been helping a little
  21. I’ve never thought about it much, I’ve got several rods between 6’ and 7’. Longer rod definitely helps cast further. If you go to the beach take the longest ones you’ve got!
  22. That’s up to you, some old timers fish tiny streams with 10’ rods for trout.
  23. Not much you can do other than quit fishing! I’ve caught many one eyed bass that weren’t feeling bad for themselves. Also if it was a keeper sized fish you could always fry it, that’s about as natural of a progression of events that can happen in nature.
  24. It sounds like you were taught the same as me, “He who humbles himself will be exalted and he who exalts himself will be humbled”
  25. There’s a lot more money in drywall than there is in bass fishing!
